Help?

Can some one help me to figure when i should flag for deletion ?

Hey there. Your best bet is to check out our deletion policy and see whether the articles you're concerned with meet any of the conditions there. Usually speedy deletions of articles are carried out when the topic is not notable - you can look at the criteria for speedy deletions for more information there. If it's not a speedy candidate, then you can consider proposed deletion, which is slower but effective; finally, there's articles for deletion where other editors will discuss any articles nominated for deletion and an administrator will make a decision. User template messages where?

{{helpme}} Where do I put user template messages such as vandalism warnings, on talk page? or main?

A warning message is like any other thing you write to a user, so it goes on their user talk page. So, to warn me, you'd put it on User talk:Chzz. Note the instructions usually say you have to subst it, see WP:WARN.

Speedy deletion declined: Helen Kerr

I see above that you are asking for advice. The point about this one is that to escape an WP:CSD#A7 speedy does not require demonstrating notability, or even having any references; any credible assertion of importance or significance is enough. ("Johnny is the coolest dude in the universe" is an assertion of importance, but is not credible). Read WP:CSD carefully, especially the actual definitions and the section "Non-criteria". There is good advice from an experienced admin at WP:A7M and WP:10CSD. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 20:59, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Djug,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.
