Removing speedy deletion tags
editPlease do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Clovis Sangrail (talk) 01:32, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Re: claude gagna
editEven when a page is created as part of an assignment for a school project, the Wikipedia guidelines apply. This includes demonstration of the notability of a topic (general guidelines, guidelines for biographies), the restriction against copyright violations, and the requirement to cite reliable sources. The article on Claude Gagna fit within the guidelines for speedy deletion of an article, as it did not show the significance or importance of the subject.
If the article is recreated (which I see it has been at Claude E. Gagna, though it's currently tagged for speedy deletion), and there is no clear assertion of significance or importance, it's likely that another administrator will delete the article, even if I don't. Accordingly, if no clear assertion can be made, I suggest your relative create the page in his own user space and work on the article there.
Finally, Wikipedia accounts are one person per account, so your relative should edit from his own account, not yours. —C.Fred (talk) 13:53, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

editWhen and how did you take the photograph File:Cgagna 1.jpg? This looks suspiciously like it was copied from the NYIT website. —C.Fred (talk) 13:55, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Claude E. Gagna
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Claude E. Gagna, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ukexpat (talk) 19:11, 15 August 2011 (UTC)
