Problems with upload of File:Marilyn french.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Marilyn french.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

File source problem with File:Michelle Pujol.JPG
editThank you for uploading File:Michelle Pujol.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Musamies (talk) 16:26, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
Your submission at Articles for creation
editI noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Canadian Dance Theatre. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.
Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.
Here's an example of how to add references:
He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>
== References ==
{{reflist}}
That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.
Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

- Why did you move Princess Maria, Hapsbourg (1965- ) to Maria, Hapsbourg (1965- )? --Metropolitan90 (talk) 06:13, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
- I don't understand the technical side of these conversations, but I would like the text to Maria, Hapsbourg (1965 - ) emailed to me, if possible (dmverardi@gmail.com). I moved it to Maria, Hapsboug (1965- ) because it it a more correct way of stating the title. Since it is a living person from a notorious family, I don't know why you handle this this way, but to me it was generous the information was provided at all. The family are the descendants of the Louis line of France and wiped their own history for safety. They don't permit a lot of public information and are very judicious in it. The technical demands of making a submission or dialogue about it seem pointless when you have technical staff and writers freely submit their work. --Dmverardi (talk)
- I believe that User:Courcelles has already e-mailed the article to you. I would note that one of my problems with the article is that you said that Maria is a private person and does not want publicity, yet you created an article about her anyway, and I did not understand how to reconcile your desire to maintain her privacy with your desire to put her in the encyclopedia. Furthermore, even a person who wanted privacy and to be kept out of Wikipedia might warrant inclusion in the encyclopedia, but only if there is clear evidence that the person is notable. In this case, the person's notability was apparently based on her being a princess, but the article did not contain sufficient genealogical information to connect her as being a descendant of known royalty. Finally, most of the sources used for the article were your personal notes and conversations, which are not a published source and thus not appropriate to base a Wikipedia article on. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 08:23, 15 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
