Collecting Sources

I ordered a copy of Ms. Stanwood's biography. A doctoral thesis here that I'm still reading is going to be a great source. I'm hoping to find confirmation of just how instrumental she was to transitioning from the 19th century practice of collecting specimens to the 20the century standard of observation and documentation.
