John Oxendine

edit

Hi. I reverted the changes you made to the John Oxendine article for a few reasons. First and foremost, the way you wrote it does not comply with Wikipedia's Wikipedia:Manual of Style. You need to create some headers for new sections to avoid confusion. Also, the phrase "...return the office of Insurance Commissioner to the people of Georgia and away from the liberals" is not neutral and all content should comply with Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. Lastly, quotes from living persons need to be cited as soon as they're added. Without a citation, it is impossible to verify them and BLPs need to be accurate for libel purposes. I actually don't have an issue with what you're trying to change if you feel the article is not neutral (I know nothing of the subject and prefer not to get into debates about politicians), however, I highly suggest you tag it as such and discuss the changes you'd like to make on the talk page before removing large sections of content. All sides (including controversies) need to be presented and if they're removed, you're likely to run into some problems. If you need some pointers on how to proceed, let me know and I'll point you in the right direction. Thanks. Pinkadelica (talk) 07:19, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
