Dorothy Hill

edit

Thank you for your recent edits to Dorothy Hill, but I'm afraid that a number of them have changed the meaning of what was there, and hence you have introduced errors.

For example, the article said:

From 1937 to 1942, Hill was the recipient of a Council for Scientific and Industry Research (CSIR) grant and worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland. In 1939, Hill was involved with the Geological Survey of Queensland, consulted for the Shell Corporation and was Secretary of the Royal Society of Queensland.

You changed it to say:

Through 1937 to 1942, Hill was the recipient of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and also pursued a research fellowship at the University of Queensland. In 1939 Hill became Secretary of the Royal Society of Queensland meanwhile doing Geological Surveys of Queensland for the Shell Corporation.

Yes, the organisation's name was "Council for Scientific and Industrial Research", but:

  • You removed the word "grant"
  • She didn't receive "the" grant, she received "a" grant.
  • She "worked as a Research Fellow". She did not "pursue a research fellowship"
  • She did not "do Geological Surveys of Queensland for the Shell Corporation". She "was involved with the Geological Survey of Queensland" (for the Queensland government), and she "consulted for the Shell Corporation".

If you want any help or advice editing, I'm happy to help. Best wishes, Pdfpdf (talk) 12:54, 14 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
