Some of the people, places or things you have written about may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, all users are entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. I was talking about the Internet Movie Database. You can view it here.

P.S. In case your article gets deleted, don't feel bad. Everyone was new once. Even I had some of my first articles deleted. :) --D-Day I'm all ears 12:43, 18 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Don't worry then. Instead, just contribute to some other articles you have knowledge about.--D-Day I'm all ears 12:56, 18 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello - in response to your message on my talk page [1], I am for redirecting the article to King Kong Lives. This means removing the text from King Kong II and adding code (#REDIRECT [[King Kong Lives]] so that a person that accesses the King Kong II article will be redirected to King Kong Lives. I voted this way because:

  1. Even if you're friend's movie idea is a great one, it just doesn't meet Wikipedia's guidelines regarding notability. Articles must meet these guidelines in order to remain.
  2. Apostrophe indicated that in some places in the world, KKL is referred to as KK II.

Thus, I feel it's appropriate to change the article to the redirect. As D-Day mentions above, don't take this personally - plenty of Wikipedians create non-notable articles early in their "Wikipedia career" only to have them deleted. Instead familiarize yourself with the notability and other article creation guidelines, and then write about other topics you have knowledge of.

Please let me know if you have any further questions, concerns, or just need a little help getting started --AbsolutDan (talk) 14:09, 18 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
