Speedy deletion nomination of Lady bjork

edit

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Lady bjork, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.  IShadowed  ✰  20:38, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • No, I agree it wasn't vandalism - the tag WP:CSD#G3 that the tagger used covers hoaxes as well, and I guess he thought it was that. When I looked at it I didn't think so, but I decided it came under WP:CSD#A7 "An article about a real person, individual animal... that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant." Being "famous on Youtube" is rather too easy to cut much ice here, and though I looked at Google a lot of the hits seemed to be about the Icelandic singer. There's nothing to stop you having another go if you think you can make a case for Notability by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Myspace, Yourube, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website and affiliated ones. But maybe you would do better checking out our Etruscan langauge cover? Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:28, 14 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
