Doopliss77, do we have any administrators looking at the copyright violation blanking of the article VCU School of the Arts and the changes made on the VCU School of the Arts temporary page? I think it is important that the article be restored quickly. I think the blanking may have originated with some of the unsubstantial bot reports cited on the blanking page. Is any progress being made in restoring the article, or is there anyone else at VCU who could help us expedite this? I will post this message on my talk page, too, just as a record of our current status on this issue. Thank you for all you have been doing on the temporary page, and I have tried to add a few things temporarily, as you can see in the page's history.--Mitzi.humphrey (talk) 15:12, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, Doopliss77, for your message on my talk page. I haven't ever before experienced a situation like this. I've been in lengthy discussions before on talk pages when something I had written or edited was nominated for deletion, or in some cases merged with another article. Those cases were usually settled by consensus of the discussants, although administrators may have initiated some of the discussions. But I've never in my memory experienced anything I've written or edited on Wikipedia being blanked as the VCU School of the Arts was. I suggest we appeal to the staff or alumni of some of the various departments in the school of the arts and also to the Cabell Library staff to find someone who would be interested in the issue and might be knowledgeable enough about Wikipedia copyright issues to help us resolve the matter as soon as possible. Thinking of the recent graduates and job applicants who will be listing the VCU connection on their resumes, a speedy resolution could be crucial to many alumni, staff, and faculty. Fingers crossed!-- Mitzi.humphrey (talk) 16:54, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
