Dear Doppelsoldier,
While I appreciate the effort you have taken with the content you are adding to the The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion page, the specific information you are adding is not compliant with our content policies. WP:NOT#GUIDE advises that "While Wikipedia has descriptions of people, places, and things, Wikipedia articles should not include instructions, advice (legal, medical, or otherwise) or suggestions, or contain "how-to"s. This includes tutorials, walk-throughs, instruction manuals, video game guides, and recipes." The information you added also does not comply with our policies regarding original research. WP:OR On Wikipedia, information beyond direct apprehension of sense data must be cited to a reliable source; it seems your contributions were guided by your own judgments regarding the game in question.
Furthermore, even if you were able to resolve these issues, it would seem that your contributions might still fail on account of WP:NOT#INFO, which cautions against indiscriminate collections of information; (a policy which has been interpreted in the past to mean a caution against item lists) WP:FICT, which declares that "Wikipedia articles on works of fiction should contain real-world context and sourced analysis, offering detail on a work's achievements, impact or historical significance; such articles are not solely or overwhelmingly a summary of a work's plot."; and WP:WAF, which, following FICT's prescriptions, aims to describe how articles on fictional topics should be written.
There are other locations which accept such detailed information, but Wikipedia is not one of them. At the bottom of Oblivion's page, there are two links to external websites better suited than this one for your blend of information: OblivionWiki, an Oblivion wiki; and The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages, a wiki focusing on Oblivion as well as the other Elder Scrolls series games. I am sure that here or here you should find pages that readily accept the type of content you have created.
Thank you for your contributions, and welcome to Wikipedia! Geuiwogbil 08:59, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
