Hey there, Still im waiting to get approve on my content in Wikipedia please approve — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hariharanprodige (talk • contribs) 04:15, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Hariharanprodige: your draft User:Hariharanprodige/sandbox hasn't been resubmitted for review since the last decline. But don't bother submitting it, either, as it will only be declined again, since it has no references. See WP:REFB for help. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:05, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
Draft:J. Martín Ramírez
Hi there! During my page curation, I noticed you had declined Draft:J. Martín Ramírez as lacking notability. Based on the subject's Google Scholar, citation markers in peer-reviewed journals and h-index, I'd be remiss not to suggest that the subject seems to be in the clear as far as Wikipedia:Notability (academics) is concerned (which is sufficient for academics' notability despite failing the conventional WP:GNG). I understand there were other concerns as to the unreferenced sections—would you object If I just cleaned those up and went ahead with the review? Thanks! nearlyevil665 10:04, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @Nearlyevil665: sure thing, go ahead and do whatever you think is right. I can see that the draft has evolved quite a lot since my decline, both in terms of content and referencing, so clearly you're now looking at a whole different ballgame anyway. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:05, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Cheers, thanks for the speedy reply and have a nice day! nearlyevil665 11:18, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
Draft: Bolt (financial technology company)
Hi. I was trying to take Bolt (financial technology company) out of the submission queue so that I could edit it further before it was re-reviewed. I moved it to a sandbox; I think that was not the correct way to do it b/c you moved it back to draft. What is the best way to take it out of the queue? Thank you! JSFarman2 (talk) 19:29, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @JSFarman2: oh okay, I didn't actually realise that's how it had ended up in your sandbox. But you're right, that's not how you should remove a draft from the review pool; once it's in the draft space it should stay there, and you can just cancel the review request. Or, indeed, keep the request active, and just continue to edit the draft — most drafts spend weeks in the pool, so chances are your draft won't be reviewed immediately anyway. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 04:40, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- PS: As for the name of the article, it doesn't matter if the current name isn't correct, it can always be changed when the draft is accepted and moved into the main article space. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 04:41, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

Draft: Subway Midnight
Sorry, I'm lost on what I need to fix since I'm not sure what had happened in my submission. Was the draft completely empty? This is my first submission; I know I had text in the draft I am just not sure what was blank or not. I am new to this just a little lost. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wgarma1 (talk • contribs) 05:33, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Wgarma1, yes the draft was completely empty; I checked also the wikitext to make sure there wasn't any hidden content. It had been blanked by the original author, and that is considered a request to delete, per WP:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#G7. Consequently, it has been speedily deleted, as you can see here. StudioSociety
Hey! @DoubleGrazing, I have to ask before I start, why was my submission of VENOM 1997 declined? It's a piece of the MARVEL community that more and more people should learn about. Was it because my draft wasn't detailed enough in the entry? Please respond. I am very confused and slightly frustrated.
- @StudioSociety: did you not read the decline notice? It clearly states that the draft has no reliable sources; in fact, it is entirely unreferenced. I don't see what's so confusing about that. --DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:57, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing
- PS: Please sign your comments on all talk pages, thanks.
- Apologizes, I have fixed the article. I did not read the decline notice as I have been too busy and just saw that it was removed. I put more sources like evidence of the cancelled film actually existing. Adios, have a nice night or day! -- Studio Society StudioSociety (talk) 10:46, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- @StudioSociety: sorry, what was removed — the decline notice? Yes, it was removed... by you. Speaking of which, please do not remove the earlier AfC tags, they need to remain until the draft is either accepted or deleted (it does say there not to remove them). --DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:59, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
Draft:Zuri (aircraft)
Thank you for your feedback on the Zuri wiki topic. I have reduced the number of references based on your request. I have kept only media or industry relevant sources. I have thus complied with your request. The wiki topic Zuri in this form has passed within the Czech Wikipedia. I thought there might be an equivalent English version. I don't know what the procedure is, but I would appreciate it if you would remove your comment from the entry. It is currently no longer relevant. If you need, you can contact me for further feedback. Radim Hasalík (talk) 14:31, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Radim Hasalík, thanks for your message. A few things in response:
- It's great that you've removed some of the refs, but that said, the remaining 38 is still a lot for a relatively short article such as this, and you could cut them down further. For example, the statement "
It is also referred to by the acronym VTOL
" does not need four sources supporting it; it arguably needs none (it's kind of similar to THESKYISBLUE), and one good source should certainly suffice.
- It's great that you've removed some of the refs, but that said, the remaining 38 is still a lot for a relatively short article such as this, and you could cut them down further. For example, the statement "
- I have removed some of the redundant ones as per your suggestion. At this point I have exhausted my wiki knowledge. I would leave further interventions to the community.
- I also asked if you would point out the three strongest sources contributing to notability per WP:GNG. Given that 38 is still a lot to go through, I must repeat this request.
- Among the most important sources I would include the following: Hospodářské noviny, Euro.cz, Forbes. However, Zuri has also been mentioned in other major media. I fear that if I delete other sources, encyclopedists may react about the insignificance.
- Let's leave my comment there for now; it helps other AfC reviewers to see what has been said and done earlier, and how the draft has evolved over time. All comments will be automatically removed anyway when (if) the article is accepted and published.
- OK
- Finally just to explain, every language version of Wikipedia is its own separate project, with different sourcing and notability etc. criteria (and of the ones I've dealt with, the English-language one has the strictest). Therefore while a topic may be notable enough for another language version, in this case cs.wiki, doesn't mean it's going to be notable enough for en.wiki.
- HTH, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:56, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, I understand. Radim Hasalík (talk) 16:59, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Radim Hasalík Okay, thanks, but you need to be a bit more specific — there are two Forbes and three Hospodářské noviny sources; which ones do you mean? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 17:27, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, I understand. Radim Hasalík (talk) 16:59, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
Igor Lopatonok
"It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources." - Which of the three sources do you assess as not independent or reliable? --Gunnar (talk) 05:18, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Gunnar.Kaestle IMDB, per WP:IMDB. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:20, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- What is the use of the template Biography for Igor Lopatonok at IMDb? --Gunnar (talk) 05:45, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Gunnar.Kaestle it can be used in the 'External links' section (only), per Template:IMDb name. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:50, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- Please check Draft:Igor Lopatonok. The birthyear could be found elsewere besides IMDB. If you find it irresponsible to state January 4th and the place of birth, please remove this data, but shift the remainder back to the regular space. --Gunnar (talk) 13:01, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Gunnar.Kaestle: it's not enough to say that some source somewhere out there supports a statement (in this case DOB); you need to cite the sources (that's multiple, on purpose — see WP:DOB)), so that they can be verified and assessed for reliability. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:38, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
- As I wrote above: Please remove the data which you think is not backed by references and shift the article back to the regular space. As far as I know, it is undisputed that he was born 1968 in Ukraine. And all the stuff which is available in the end credits of a film is considered as primary source, meaning we can believe the IMDB data in this case. --Gunnar (talk) 20:38, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
Hello DoubleGrazing,
You declined my draft for Peter Murray because I didn't have enough sources that were primarily about him or that were written independently, instead of as interviews. I've updated the draft to include some more. Would you mind taking a look at it and let me know if it is ready?
Thank you again for your help.
Queries regarding our recent submission.
Dear admin,
Queries : 1.How to change the username?
2.How to make an article of our company when it is mentioned that only an organization is generally considered notable if it has subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources?
3.How to find the significant coverage?
4.How is it promotional when all we have added is information of the company, who's article is being published. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Infocse220418 (talk • contribs) 07:05, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Infocse220418:
- Firstly, I'm not an admin. I reviewed your draft in an AfC (Articles for Creation) reviewer capacity.
- Secondly, to change usernames, please see WP:RENAME.
- Thirdly, the reason I declined your draft was that it didn't have any referencing, only a long list of external links, which isn't the same. And because it had no referencing, it also couldn't demonstrate notability. If you link those external sources (and/or others) through inline citations, so that it's clear which source supports what content, the draft can then be assessed for both factual accuracy and notability.
- Finally, you must also formally declare your conflict of interest (COI) in relation to this subject, and almost certainly also your paid editing (which two are related but separate issues). I have posted a notice on your user talk page to tell you how to do this.
- Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:04, 16 June 2022 (UTC)
Question from Sabina Lelcu (08:04, 17 June 2022)
Hello,
I need your kind advice. I am new on wikipedia and I am a copywriter . I work for a big furniture brand in Romania and I would like to create a wikipedia page with their history and activity. What are the steps in order to do that?
Thanks, Sabina. --Sabina Lelcu (talk) 08:04, 17 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Sabina Lelcu, and welcome!
- Please see the guidance at Your first article, which tells you pretty much all you need to know to get started at least.
- Another thing you must do before you even start is to formally disclose your conflict of interest (COI) and paid editing status. I will post a message on your own talk page with instructions for how to do this. Please note that you need to disclose both the COI and paid editing, which are separate (though sometimes related) concepts.
- Finally, I should warn you that articles on companies are among the most difficult to get accepted, especially when written by someone with a COI. If there is even the slightest hint of promotional tone, unreferenced claims, weak sources, or similar issues, the draft will almost certainly be declined at AfC. Your best bet is not to say anything that you or your employer wants to say, but to merely summarise what reliable and independent sources have said about the company.
- Good luck! -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:38, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

Hallo ! Could you please completely remove the incomplete article "Concerto per diversi strumenti" with all the stuff around ?
Thank you Pankratius (talk) 09:29, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Pankratius, do you mean that you want the draft in your sandbox User:Pankratius/sandbox to be deleted? I can't do that, as I'm not an admin, but you can either blank the page yourself (just delete all the content) or place the {{Db-author}} tag on it (on top of the page), and an admin will come along and delete it at some point. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:49, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

New Page Patrol newsletter June 2022
Hello DoubleGrazing,
- Backlog status
At the time of the last newsletter (No.27, May 2022), the backlog was approaching 16,000, having shot up rapidly from 6,000 over the prior two months. The attention the newsletter brought to the backlog sparked a flurry of activity. There was new discussion on process improvements, efforts to invite new editors to participate in NPP increased and more editors requested the NPP user right so they could help, and most importantly, the number of reviews picked up and the backlog decreased, dipping below 14,000[a] at the end of May.
Since then, the news has not been so good. The backlog is basically flat, hovering around 14,200. I wish I could report the number of reviews done and the number of new articles added to the queue. But the available statistics we have are woefully inadequate. The only real number we have is the net queue size.[b]
In the last 30 days, the top 100 reviewers have all made more than 16 patrols (up from 8 last month), and about 70 have averaged one review a day (up from 50 last month).
While there are more people doing more reviews, many of the ~730 with the NPP right are doing little. Most of the reviews are being done by the top 50 or 100 reviewers. They need your help. We appreciate every review done, but please aim to do one a day (on average, or 30 a month).
- Backlog drive
A backlog reduction drive, coordinated by buidhe and Zippybonzo, will be held from July 1 to July 31. Sign up here. Barnstars will be awarded.
- TIP – New school articles
Many new articles on schools are being created by new users in developing and/or non-English-speaking countries. The authors are probably not even aware of Wikipedia's projects and policy pages. WP:WPSCH/AG has some excellent advice and resources specifically written for these users. Reviewers could consider providing such first-time article creators with a link to it while also mentioning that not all schools pass the GNG and that elementary schools are almost certainly not notable.
- Misc
There is a new template available, {{NPP backlog}}
, to show the current backlog. You can place it on your user or talk page as a reminder:
Very high unreviewed pages backlog: 13830 articles, as of 20:00, 11 December 2024 (UTC), according to DatBot
There has been significant discussion at WP:VPP recently on NPP-related matters (Draftification, Deletion, Notability, Verifiability, Burden). Proposals that would somewhat ease the burden on NPP aren't gaining much traction, although there are suggestions that the role of NPP be fundamentally changed to focus only on major CSD-type issues.
- Reminders
- Consider staying informed on project issues by putting the project discussion page on your watchlist.
- If you have noticed a user with a good understanding of Wikipedia notability and deletion, suggest they help the effort by placing
{{subst:NPR invite}}
on their talk page. - If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process and its software.

Question from MY2017 (14:19, 24 June 2022)
Hello - After adding suggested edits to an article's "Talk" section, is it really a waiting game to see if someone goes and implements suggestions?
There is an article I am trying to update on a client's behalf and I did disclose everything and the information I know is correct because it came straight from the client and we are trying to get their public information accurate.
Thank you for any guidance/help on the matter. --MY2017 (talk) 14:19, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @MY2017: if you take a look at WP:PAY, the 4th bullet point explains your two main options, either include a tag in your edit request, or post it on the COI noticeboard.
- Can I just also say that just because the information you're wanting to add came from your client doesn't in any way guarantee that it's accurate and impartial. Which is kind of the point of the whole conflict-of-interest concept. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:57, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

Kiava (talk) 10:15, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Kiava: what do you mean 'check' — are you asking me to review it? This is not the way the AfC works. You should submit your draft for review, it goes into the review pool, and one day a reviewer will pick it up and review it.
- Except that you shouldn't submit this draft, because you already have another copy in your sandbox, at User:Kiava/sandbox, which you have submitted earlier.
- Oh, and then you also have Draft:Alireza amirghassemi, which you have also submitted for review.
- STOP creating duplicates, please! I explained this on your talk page several weeks ago — do you not read your own talk page? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:24, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

Still New to Wikipedia so battling to submit the article
Good Day
I do see that my article has been rejected, I am really just trying to get the information of the organisation up because we would like people to know how the company operates and what we do for people all over the world. Obviously I am going about it all wrong, would you be someone that could give some advice on how to make the article Wiki ready? Anything I missed or did incorrectly? — Preceding unsigned comment added by DeanBrown717 (talk • contribs) 07:23, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @DeanBrown717: yes, I've declined your draft and requested that it be deleted, because it was overly promotional. We can and do have articles on companies, but they must be written in a neutral, non-promotional and factual manner, because this is an encyclopaedia and not a marketing platform. Given that you are involved with the business (and on that point, I've posted a message on your talk page with instructions for formally declaring your conflict of interest and paid editing), it may be impossible for you to write this in a neutral enough manner — you would basically have to write it as one of your competitors would, ie. only stating facts (good and bad), not putting any sort of positive spin on things.
- On a separate but related point, the article must be much better referenced, with every material statement supported by a reliable, independent, published source. In fact, the entire content should be based on what such sources have said about the company, not what representatives of the company may wish to say about their business. If you cannot find suitable sources, then you cannot have an article on this business at all. This is the concept of 'notability', which is central to every article on Wikipedia. (See WP:GNG for more info.) -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:35, 28 June 2022 (UTC)

Help
Hello! My Draft:Zowey Rens has been declined by another reviewer. However, I would like to ask opinions from other reviewers since the reviewer of my draft isn't replying to my messages anymore. They just told me that the International Awards section has a problem, even if I already added some references and even if these awards are conducted by notable publishers and community organizations in India and Africa. What other things should I improve about this? Thank you. Draft:Zowey Rens - Wikipedia Kaizen the Great (talk) 09:14, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Kaizen the Great: if you want a 'second opinion', the way you get that is by resubmitting the draft, since it has only been declined and not fully rejected. (If you don't want the same reviewer to review it again, you can politely request them to pass it by, but it's obviously up to them.)
- FWIW, though, I don't see much chance of this being accepted, as it is very weakly referenced, and with no indication of notability; in fact, I think you've been quite fortunate that it hasn't been rejected already. I'm only saying that so you don't get your hopes up too much: no matter who reviews this next, it's unlikely to end up being published. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:28, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the opinion. Greatly appreciated! Kaizen the Great (talk) 09:29, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
Draft:Ian_Elliot
Hi there, thank you for reviewing my submission ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Ian_Elliot ) - your comments and suggested improvements were hugely useful and I feel that this new version is of a much higher quality and does a better job of supporting notability. Page has been resubmitted. The wiki commons team will reinstate the images they deleted (they requested further release of content) upon acceptance of the draft. If you have time, I would really appreciate your thoughts on this draft. Sincerely ColinWSElliot (talk) 03:55, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
