ABA page edits
editHello, I wanted to acknowledge my mistake on the Applied Behavioral Analysis page that you recently corrected. I was not trying to erase anything purposefully, I misread the cited article and which led me to believe there was editorialization when in fact there was little of it in that specific edit. My apologies! Barbarbarty (talk) 12:28, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Barbarbarty No problem! Dovepaste (talk) 17:33, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
Hello again! As you have noticed, there is a spirited discussion in the talk page for ABA. Would you mind if I can ask you for a second opinion regarding a few points of contention? I do not want to appear like I am on some vendetta one way or the other but I want to make sure my views there are not coming across the wrong way. I also want to have some new perspective in case I am mistaken in some of my points. Barbarbarty (talk) 21:58, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Barbarbarty Sure, what's up? Dovepaste (talk) 01:00, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Alsee Hello! I just wanted to know, in case you were following the ABA talk page at all, is if my points that I was making were made in a valid fashion and were not too confrontational or not aligned with Wikipedia guidelines? I am not familiar too much on by-laws so I was hoping that I was not coming across as being aggressive. Obviously there are one or two other particular users who have strong opinions on what should be included in the article and I was hoping that my interaction on the talk page with others would not be taken to be in bad faith. - @Barbarbarty You came across as reasonable to me, but I can't claim to be good at judging these kinds of things, nor am I particularly familiar with Wikipedia rules Dovepaste (talk) 20:25, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Barbarbarty I haven't followed the discussions closely, but it appears everyone is behaving acceptably. As far as wiki-controversies go this is rather tame, chuckle. Too many bog-like of walls of text going circles, rather than firefights or abuse. Try to avoid arguing tangents. Drag things back to policies and guidelines. The first focus is generally establishing which sources can/will be used, then focus on how to use them. Alsee (talk) 02:14, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
