Dr. B
NOTICE: I said on my main page that I'm discontinuing my editing of Wikipedia for an indefinate amount of time. I'd had a realization that some things in my life need to change. I'm starting this by not editing Wikipedia anymore. I don't know if or when I'll be back. However, I'd appreciate it if no one were to edit my userpage or talk page, as I may come back at some point in the future and would like to find things on this and my main page mostly as I left them.
This is not because of anything that anyone here has done, it's because of my life.
Thank you.
Actual Page
edit- Just a note to anyone coming here:
- DON'T DELETE ANYTHING YOU DIDN'T PUT HERE!
- If I don't want to see it, I'll delete it myself.
- If I want help with such things, I'll ask for it.
- Kapeish?
Welcome!
editHello Dr. B! My name is Eric, and it is my pleasure to be the first to welcome you to Wikipedia! I hope you will decide to stay a long time and help us continue to make this one of the greatest sites on the world wide web. Here are a few useful links for you to explore:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
In addition to that great wealth of knowledge, let me offer you this advice: do what you enjoy! If you enjoy contributing to sports articles, do so! If you like to correct typoes (...), write new articles, find better ways to organize articles, make useful templates, work on projects with others, or even welcome new members, do so! A happy member of our community is a productive member of our community. You can read all of the above links to the last word, or you can jump right into editing. Be bold!
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have the need to sign a page without the time and date, you can use three tildes (~~~). If you have any questions that aren't easily found with the above links, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question. Once again, welcome to Wikipedia and enjoy!
P.S.- If you'd like to introduce yourself to the community and perhaps get a question or two answered in the process, drop us a line at the new user log.
Message box
editThanks for (unintentionally) discovering the error in my message box...I can do some pretty brain-less stuff sometimes. Anyway, welcome again, and let me know if you need anything (except perhaps how to correctly make links on your own user page)! EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 02:24, 5 October 2005 (UTC)
Vote on my Arbitration Committee candidacy
editRe. the crossed out 'punish': I used the term punish originally, but it was pointed out to me that it was a bit odd to mention 'punishing' users. What I originally meant, and what I tried to clarify, is that they were remedies, not punishments. I strongly disagree with enacting remedies to punish or hurt users. Arbiter election
editJust curious, what about how I made my statement did you disapprove of? Sam Spade 20:09, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
CRC3
editHey Dr.B, This is Starhood`, one of the contributors to Calvin Random Chess. You made a mistake with move 9 of game 3. The black queen did not turn white, she was squashed by a catapulted white pawn who was promoted to queen. I was just telling you unless you purposefully made that mistake. Please post your reply at my talk here. Starhood` 20:56, 27 January 2006 (UTC)
New Sports Wiki/Community
editI noticed you were a Vikings fan. My friends and I started a sports wiki/community that you may be interested in. It uses Wikipedia's software but we made a lot of technological improvements to allow for more news, opinion articles, and better integration of sports statistics. The site is located here: www.armchairgm.com/. Check our NFL and Vikings section its pretty cool:
www.armchairgm.com/mwiki/index.php?title=NFL
www.armchairgm.com/mwiki/index.php?title=Minnesota_Vikings
When you get the chance, let me know what you think. And feel free to use it.

Template cleanup
editHi Dr. B
Please remove the following lines from the Stargate template on your userpage:
|bgcolor={{SGColor Tau'ri}}
|fgcolor=#000|
As you can see, the template has been redesigned so these two lines should be removed from all templates. Regards Valentinian (talk) 20:01, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Defacation
editDr. B, I have an urgent message. A person with the I.P. address of 210.212.45.144 has made some serious defacations to the wikipedian website. We need to stop and revert this man's edits NOW. Pass on this message. Starhood` 13:39, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Question
editDr. B, I have a little question for you. You might find the information I'm asking private so could you please e-mail your e-mail address? I promise I won't give out your address or spam you. Starhood` 23:14, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Barnstar for Red vs Blue
editFor for this, as far as I recall I've never edited that article, which I admit probably would be more of a help for FA status than if I had! Cheers --pgk(talk) 17:47, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Same here, could you please stop placing this barnstar on a whole load of talk pages. At least check that the people you are giving it to has made a significant edit(s) to the article. Thanks, Petros471 17:51, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
Hello, I noticed that you identify as a conservative Wikipedian. So I would like to invite you to post any conservative issues you might have over at the new project page, Wikipedia:Conservative_notice_board. Thanks. --Facto 05:29, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:FL_Blaine.png
editThanks for uploading Image:FL_Blaine.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free media (Image:FL Blaine.png)
editThanks for uploading Image:FL Blaine.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:24, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

The article Neverending Nights has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Article does meet WP:GNG. Has been tagged since 2008.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 22:25, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
