- Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or sock puppetry.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Copyright
editIt might seem silly, but you can't bring already published text into Wikipedia even if you wrote it. Wikipedia is licensed under Creative Commons CC-BY-SA 3.0 for free reuse by anyone anywhere, including commercial use and modification. Your text doesn't seem to be licensed in this way, and so can't be used here. You could license it - but I wouldn't advise it. The text as it stands is not suitable for an encyclopaedia where neutral wording is of the essence. Wording like "The Lord greatly used Dr. Bragg for His service for he never wavered from His call to fulltime Christian ministry. The Lord can do great things through a surrendered life like that of Dr. Ervene C. Bragg." is quite suitable for a memorial site, and possibly even a Facebook page, but is not what is expected in an encyclopaedia that strives to be as neutral as possible. In view of his professorship and lengthy tenure, I feel that an article on him would probably be in order - but it would have to show compliance with WP:BIO for notability, and be sourced to reliable independent sources WP:RS - and be newly written to keep away from the existing wording. Please feel free to ask questions about the way we work - it must look a bit odd to people from outside at times. (It occasionally looks odd from the inside too...) Your draft article, Draft:Ervene C. Bragg
editHello, DrRafiki. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Ervene C. Bragg".
The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}
or {{db-g13}}
code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Ervene C. Bragg}}
, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 16:00, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
