Conflict of Interest (COI) Disclosure and Non-Promotional Statement
editThe topic of the article Draft:ZPEG is intended to be a technical discussion of the new technologies currently being commercialized under the registered trade name ZPEG, primarily applications of the three-dimensional Discrete Cosine Transform. The article is strictly non-commercial and non-promotional,and its content is verified by independent published and reviewed sources. In the spirit of full disclosure, I am the chief scientist of the ZPEG corporation and have played a key role in the development of these technologies over the last 20 years.

editThere have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.
If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.

Unfortunately there are two issues here to be addressed simultaneously. One is choice of user name, which I made to divulge my connection to the topic, thereby attracting editorial content which would improve the article. I did not make this choice to promote the company, and am happy to change my user name.
I think the more important issue is the noteworthiness of the content and how to convey the topic in a neutral manner. As I say, it is my hope to solicit constructive advice on how best to approach the article. I will take a moment here to justify the notability of the topic, and leave open for now the question of how to converge on the content.
The topic originated as original research (as I guess every topic does), which resulted in a PhD (obviously after a committee review). Further scientific and commercial research and development resulted in multiple joint-author publications and patents. This body of literature has been cited hundreds of times[1]. This technology has been the topic of many invited talks, including:
IEEE Signal Processing Austin Chapter
Paper Presented: Motion Video Processing with the three-dimensional DCT
May 1, 2013 [2].
National Association of Broadcasters (NAB)
April 17-22, 2004
Paper Presented: “Digital Video Conversion”
Hollywood Post Alliance (HPA)
February 3-6, 2004
“Subjective Quality Monitoring”
Society of Motion Picture and Television Experts (SMPTE, NY Chapter)
November 15, 2003
Paper Presented: “Digital Format Conversion”
Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE)
SBE Chapter 15 (New York)
Paper Presented: “Video Format Conversion”
April 2003
The technology has also been selected for use in military applications:
Northup-Grumman Low-Profile Periscope Proposal
Iron Hawk Video Synchronization Proposal
In short, this is a story that has excited scholarly and commercial interest. I hope this story is noteworthy, and worthy of being told. Zpeg (talk) 17:30, 25 February 2017 (UTC)

I request to be unblocked in order to edit the Draft:ZPEG article to incorporate the recommendations that have been made. This article describes a notable body of published work, and it is my intention to share this technology without gaining promotional advantage (other than bragging rights to having submitted a note-worthy contribution to Wikipedia!). To this end I have solicited, and received, constructive comments I propose to incorporate and resubmit. Thank-you, - Raymond OrangeMike
