British films
Hi. Good work on GB films. Could you add titles to the lists like British films of 1947? You may find it useful to red link the films by year.. Dr. Blofeld White cat 13:30, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
Hi, would you be so kind as to give us support!
Hello, I hope you're doing fine and I sincerely apologize for this intrusion. My name is Claudi Balaguer (User Capsot from the Catalan Wikipedia and the Occitan Wikiccionari), I've just read your profile and have seen that you show a keen interest in diverse cultures, countries and languages, so I think that you know well what are a minorized language and culture and maybe I am not bothering you and you will help us... I'm a member of a Catalan association "Amical de la Viquipèdia" which is trying to get some recognition as a Catalan Chapter (a Chapter is some kind of superstructure between the Wikipedias and the Wikimedia Foundation) but this hasn't been approved up to that moment. We would appreciate your support, visible if you stick this template on your first page Wikimedia CAT or/and sign the list of Members and Supporters, following the link on the template. Thanks again for your attention and I sincerely apologize if my message was bothersome or not interesting for you, I wish you a nice, pleasant and warm summer, take care! Thanks for the 'heads up' - and yes, the current image is better than the DVD. Skier Dude (talk) 03:38, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

DYK for Flight from Folly
On 29 September 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Flight from Folly, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
Hi. Could you explain why are wikilinking the name of Reginald Purdell? He doesn't have an article here, and, from his IMDB profile, he doesn't look like the kind of high-profile actor who is likely to have an article written about him in the future. Linking him without an article produces a "redlink", which is not ideal, but could be acceptable if you believe that there should be an article about him -- in which case the redlink acts as a reminder that someone should do it. Is that the case? If so, why not write the article yourelf, because I think it's highly unlikely that anyone else will.
I await your explanation. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:26, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- WHOOPS! My mistake, and my apologies. Beyond My Ken (talk) 22:40, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Welcome. We're quite appreciative that you have chosen to write an article for Wikipedia, but there are a few concerns in Everything Happens to Me (1938 film) that you might consider addressing. For film articles, it's not enough to show that the film simply exists and in databases. It is always best to show through references that the subject has received critical review and/or coverage in multiple sources in order to meet notability criteria for films. First and foremost is proper sourcing for the article, as Wikipedia requires that information in articles be cited back to reliable sources (not blogs, not facebook, not twitter, not myspace, not IMDB). Please consider visiting my essay on films to see how to gauge if your article meets inclusion criteria. And always feel free to ask for input or advice from editors at WikiProject Films on the project's talk page. Best regards, Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 05:54, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
