unblock|The comment I posted wasn't even ment to be a joke. I even stated that it was not true and was adult about it. I think that the colbert incident is worth mentioning on the page due to the fact of all the media attention it recieved. Also, the block states that it is always for 24 hours of whenever I check it. So 4 days ago it said 24 hours. Today it said it would expire in another 24 hours. Does this mean it is permanently blocked from editing? If not what 24 hour period is it waiting for in order to expire?

Your user name or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by JzG for the following reason (see our blocking policy): Vandalism-only account Your IP address is 71.15.121.212.

The block was indefinite, you are likely getting autoblock messages which get reinstated every 24 hours. The material you posted has absolutely nothing to do with elephants, possibly material for the colbert article but nothing to do with elephants. If you agree to not add such material in the future and think about where such material should be placed, if placed at all I am willing to assume good faith and unblock. --pgk(talk) 22:08, 6 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Even though I would still personally debate the reasoning of a complete ban and not just a temporary one since I have been at least a small contributer in the past I think and have been a registered user for a while now. I still promise to think twice before attempting to edit something and maybe I will run the idea through you next time before posting. Please unblock my account.

I see little point in you trying to debate it, you haven't edited from this account before so you have no history of useful contributions, the Colbert stuff caused a lot of people to make inappropriate edits to wikipedia and many were blocked on sight. I have unblocked this account now but as above please take time to consider (a) if the material you are adding is appopriate and (b) if yu believe it is, is it the right article to be putting it in. For this particular edit I'll also point you to avoid self-references. Sometimes autoblock recur despite being unblocked if this happens post the unblock request again. --pgk(talk) 21:19, 8 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
