Speedy deletion nomination of WikiGap Challenge/Results

A tag has been placed on WikiGap Challenge/Results requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Only see two incoming links, though justification was to prevent having to fix incoming links, unless it is linked to from other projects. This does not seem like it is useful long-term and if such a link is warranted, it should likely be in WP space. Arguably an A3 (no content except for an external link)

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. On behalf of WP:WPWW, thank you for creating the recent new article on Kay Sifuniso, the first black female Zambian journalist. --Rosiestep (talk) 21:00, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

@Rosiestep: that was unexpected and very wonderful! Thank you very much. Dsp13 (talk) 16:23, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

SurVision Books and Magazine

Dear Dsp13,

Can I ask you to take a look at this: [1], please? I noted that you once updated the article about one of Irish poetry presses, Gallery Press. My article about another Irish poetry press and magazine, SurVision Books and Magazine, is currently in danger. I've tried to improve it, and I know that it can be further improved. We only have a few poetry press in Ireland, and I believe that keeping articles about them is important, so I would appreciate it if you could take a look at it and maybe vote. Cheers.--Bonmot (talk) 08:54, 4 May 2020 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Warren Dawson

Hello, Dsp13

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Naypta and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've proposed an article that you started, Warren Dawson, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criteria and I believe that the article obviously and uncontroversially does not belong in an encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Naypta}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Wow, this is a horribly written notice. Sorry, I'm just getting used to Page Curation, and looks like I'm not a huge fan of it at the moment - the Twinkle notices are far better IMO. Although I'm sure it's amusing to be welcomed to the wiki after nearly 14 years here! Either way, I've PROD'd the article as it relies only on one source, and I'm unconvinced it fits WP:MUSICBIO as a separate article. Cheers, Naypta ☺ | ✉ talk page | 13:39, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

@Naypta: Always nice to receive a welcome, and nice to meet you too :-) Actually all I'd added at Warren Dawson was a redirect, which preceded the recent content and which another editor's now restored. I wonder though if the page should be a disambiguation page, to give people the chance to choose between the Kings of Rhythm bassist and the Egyptologist. Dsp13 (talk) 13:51, 8 May 2020 (UTC)

Likewise!   And so I see - that might be a good idea, yeah. I'll go disambig it now! Naypta ☺ | ✉ talk page | 14:05, 8 May 2020 (UTC)
