Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! power~enwiki (π, ν) 02:58, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
Discretionary Sanctions Notification - American Politics
editPlease carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding , a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.power~enwiki (π, ν) 02:58, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
DuckyWhucky, please read the above notice about "Discretionary Sanctions" carefully. These are special editing rules that apply to controversial subjects like those about American politics. Those rules say
- You must not make more than one revert per 24 hours to this article.
- You must not reinstate any challenged (via reversion) edits without obtaining consensus on the talk page of this article.
- You are required to abide by a civility restriction, and are subject to discretionary sanctions while editing this page.
They mean that if something you wrote is removed from an article ("challenged via reversion") you must not add it again. First you must go to the article's talk page and discuss it and get consensus before it can be in the article. This particularly relates to the material you have been adding to the Special Counsel article; it has been removed twice and if you add it a third time you will be in violation of the rules and could be blocked from editing. Same with your additions to the US Presidential Election article. --MelanieN (talk) 04:15, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
- DuckyWhucky: I've reverted your edits to Alt-right, not because I think it's all necessarily wrong, but because I think it all needs to be discussed. I look forward to hearing your arguments, which it would be easier to deal with if you divided them into specific subject threads. Thanks. Beyond My Ken (talk) 17:08, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

editPlease do not add or change content, as you did at March for Our Lives, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Also, you can't copy content from other Wikipedia articles without proper attributions. Please see WP:COPYWITHIN. - MrX 🖋 01:15, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at March For Our Lives, you may be blocked from editing. Please slow down and don;t add material without reliable sources. This messed up a lot of material. - MrX 🖋 02:22, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. power~enwiki (π, ν) 03:26, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
