Speedy deletion nomination of Doldrums (Canadian band)
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Doldrums (Canadian band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Portishead 'Machine Gun' Belgian (Flanders) chart peak
editHi, I reverted your addition of #67 as the Belgian (Flanders) chart peak for "Machine Gun" on the Portishead discography page, as this single is listed as 'Tip: 17' on http://www.ultratop.be/fr/song/2149/Portishead-Glory-Box . This does not actually mean that it charted at #67. The 'Tip' section of the Belgian chart is analogous to the Billboard 'Bubbling Under' chart, which is not literally positions 101-125. Rather, it ranks singles that have not yet entered the Ultratop top 50 chart in order. This does not factor in singles that have fallen out of the chart, so e.g. Tip 17 could actually be #67 (unlikely), or it could be #107, depending on how many singles that have already entered the top 50, but are charting below #50, there are. It's impossible to know.Nqr9 (talk) 01:21, 23 June 2016 (UTC)

editThe article The "Latvian Literature" platform has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Is this a) platform b) organization c) campaign? The article is promotional, confusing, undersourced, and has unclear notability. At best, user-draftify and rewrite.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
