Speedy deletion nomination of Rpgplanemapmaker

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rpgplanemapmaker requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Safiel (talk) 17:17, 2 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Rpgplane

A tag has been placed on Rpgplane, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. seems like this page is spam and Angry birds way longer article is not... so what's happening here?

The article was tagged as spam, but I deleted it per a different CSD criterion, A7. A7 is for "An article about a real person, individual animal(s), organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant." If you look at the Angry Birds article, you will see it has 52 references, including ones from websites such as PCWorld, Wired, Wall Street Journal, MSN, New York Times, Huffington Post, etc. Your article on RPGPlane had no references at all, except for a link to an primary source. Primary sources are acceptable, but they cannot demonstrate notability on their own. Try reading the notability requirements for your article and, if it can fit them, reading WP:Your first article. If you need more help, feel free to use another {{helpme}} template or to ask on my talk page. GorillaWarfare talk 19:11, 9 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

So if something is already famous can be known. otherwise not. ok (?)

The fact your article specifically listed retail prices and had one referenced link gave me the impression it was an advertisement. If not for that one thing, I'd have tagged it WP:A7 instead of WP:G11. GorillaWarfare gave you some good advice and if you follow it, it might work!  :) This lousy t-shirt (talk) 21:28, 9 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
