Sean Paul

edit

Seriously, the entire list of collaborators with Sean Paul shouldn't be under "Associated Acts". Some of the artists, he only did one track and nothing came about. Seriously, stop adding the entire list, at least some are listed on Sean Paul discography. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 01:57, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

His collaborations are mentioned in the article. Writing a paragraph of them is just repeating what the article already holds. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 02:02, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
RESPOND: It does. Songs and artists he has collaborated with are under the discography page and any more, anyone can add the track and the artists he is featured with. But all under "Associated acts" is simply trivial and at some point, unnecessary. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 02:04, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

The ones already listed have had Top 10 hits and Sasha will be included because his duet with Sean Paul reached high on the charts. But everyone else, unless they charted high, shouldn't be included. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 02:23, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Protected the article

edit

Seriously, I 'm going to revert your edits until we reach a settlement. I protected the article, meaning no one can edit it. I will remove the protection until we reach an agreement. Deal? --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 02:30, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, I will not put the entire list of artists because some of the artists he has collaborated with, he only worked with them once or their track didn't chart high enough. Also, I only protected the page, I didn't block you. How? I have the ability to it. Non-administrators have to contact Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. I actually disagree with your edit because I don't think the entire list of artist is necessary and it just takes up space from the article (ex. Lil Wayne has worked with a large number of artists but only a few are listed under "Associated Acts", while the rest are either on their respective articles or under Lil Wayne discography, listing his appearances by track). Finally, if you know more about Sean Paul than me, I won't argue but I would simply say, "Can you prove it?" The albums are have no sources proving their releases, so I removed them. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 02:46, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
Anyone can get the sources of the albums on the Internet but I doubt it that they're reliable. Unless they are sourced with reliable sources, they will be removed. I will unblock it but if it's to excessive, I will remove your edits and give you a warning. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 02:59, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sean Paul

edit

Hey there, You reverted my edit here. Per our verifiability policy, everything must be properly sourced. If you can add a reliable source that states his full name is Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, then please add it. Unsourced material is best left off Wikipedia. Thank you. DiverseMentality 19:39, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have evidence as it is on the Polish Wikipedia page and many others. Also, why did you remove the associated acts? (DuttyYo (talk) 19:44, 16 November 2008 (UTC))Reply

Other Wikipedia's aren't reliable sources, sadly. Articles should use reliable, third-party, published sources, as stated in WP:RS. As for associated acts, it's best explained in this discussion. Also, please reply to the discussion here on your talk page, as I like to keep my discussions unfragmented (I have your page on watch). Thank you. DiverseMentality 19:49, 16 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Please do not remove the Deletion Template from the Category page; and also, please do not add a list of names directly to that page. These are both contrary to proper editing on Wikipedia. I strongly suggest that you take some time to familiarize yourself with the guidelines for editing on Wikipedia so you can avoid these sorts of errors/problems in the future. Sean Paul's name

edit

DuttyYo, we've been through this before. If you do not have a reliable source [[Wikipedia:Verifiability|verifying that Sean Paul's full name is Sean Paul Ryan Francis Henriques, then do not add it. Just because it's on other Wikis doesn't mean it's true, you need to back it up by citing it. DiverseMentality 19:38, 4 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

How do you cite things DuttyYo (talk) 16:48, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

You cite things by using references tags, like these: <ref></ref> or a cite template. You have to use third-party reliable sources when citing something. For example, two reliable sources, in this case Allmusic and NME, both show Paul's full name of being Sean Paul Henriques [1] [2]. DiverseMentality 22:24, 5 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for providing a source. At first, I thought the website was run by a fan, until I saw Sean Paul's video where he introduces the site. Is it new? Blackjays1 (talk) 07:34, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
