This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because the username, Tiggerwoods123, matches the name of a well-known, living person.

If you are the person represented by this username, please note that the practice of blocking such usernames is to protect you from being impersonated, not to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. You may choose to edit under a new username (see information below), but keep in mind that you are welcome to continue to edit under this username. If you choose to do so, we ask the following:

  1. Please be willing and able to prove your identity to Wikipedia.
  2. Please send an email to info-en wikimedia.org. Be aware that the volunteer response team that handles email is indeed operated entirely by volunteers, and the reply may not be immediate.

If you are not the person represented by this username, you are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:04, 3 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I didn't think I was gonna get banned for using this name because its the name I use for video games and its close to a famous persons name. The name I wanted to use was taken so I was going to use this one instead. but can I have my name changed

Accept reason:

New username seems to be fine. I'm going to unblock you so that you can have your username changed. Please immediately go to the page I linked you to (here) and follow the directions to have your username changed. Once this is done and your username is renamed, you'll be free to edit as you would before. Thanks :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:01, 3 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for being understanding and for requesting your username be changed to something different. It's not spelled 100% exactly the same as Tiger Woods, but unfortunately it's close enough to where editors who are new to Wikipedia could confuse you with being this person. Again, thank you for being so understanding :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:59, 3 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Done. Your account is now unblocked so that you can have your username changed. Please do this before you do anything else. Otherwise, you risk being re-blocked for failing to follow the required directions given. Cheers - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:03, 3 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of The World Bank in Mexico 2018

edit

The article The World Bank in Mexico 2018 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

this is like a bad 6th form essay, which misses the alleged topic. At best, fold it into Economy of Mexico or similar

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The World Bank in Mexico 2018

edit

Hi, I saw that this page was nominated for deletion by Tagishsimon, who stated that it was too much like an essay and could be folded into one of the existing articles. I think that there can be a good argument for an article on the World Bank in Mexico akin to articles like World Bank in Honduras, however it does have to be covered fairly carefully. Here are some guidelines:

  • The article should be more specifically about the World Bank and their efforts in Mexico. You can definitely cover the issues Mexico has, but it should be about the issues in relation to what the World Bank is doing.
  • This needs sourcing that covers the World Bank in Mexico that is independent of the World Bank and their partners. While the World Bank is notable, as is Mexico and any issues the country is facing, the World Bank's interactions with Mexico aren't automatically notable in and of themselves. You need to show where their activities are being covered.
  • Keep in mind that some of the coverage may be very critical of the World Bank. This organization is pretty controversial and as such, these controversies should be covered if there are any as far as the World Bank and Mexico goes. The article should cover "warts and all", so to speak, so make sure that the article doesn't say only good things about the World Bank if there is criticism about their actions in Mexico.
  • The article should be comprehensive about the World Bank in Mexico, so it shouldn't be limited to just 2018.

Offhand a lot of the content that I'm bringing up in a quick glance isn't really in-depth, so it may be best to re-configure this from an independent article to a new section in the economy of Mexico article. Let me know what you want to do. I think that with a little elbow grease, this can definitely be salvaged in one way or another. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:46, 13 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
