In re these notices - the images can be tagged immediately (although most do give a couple hours' leeway) if they are not used in the article space - so it's best to do the image upload last, when the article is ready to be put into the article space (out of the sandbox/user space). The number of years the current version has been in existence is not a valid justification for the unencyclopedic tone used in the article. The manual of style stated that any article suffering from puffery language such as "award-winning" and "ground-breaking" should be rewritten to correct the problem or may be tagged with an appropriate template. 1. "Ground-breaking" is an opinion and not a fact. It is unencyclopedic to represent an opinion as fact. To state such in an article, you must provide attribution by whom the symposium is considered ground-breaking. Please refer to the natural point of view policy and its FAQ for further information.
2. Regarding the in-line citations, I have marked some problematic areas. In general, statements should be supported by references and opinions should be attributed to its owner. The citation and the statement it supports should also be kept closely together. Please refer to the manual of style for more information.

Thank you for your update. However, there are still some problems in the article:

1. Please avoid using vague attribution and attribute opinions to person in text. For example, who considered the symposium ground-breaking?
2. State the fact instead of appeal to emotion. Avoid using sentence such as "[t]he combined testimony laid bare another horrifying dimension to the anguish of human suffering wrought by the Second World War." If you have sources to show the damages done to artifacts during World War II in a factual manner, use that instead.
3. Unless there is a source directly listed the international press coverage, using the news reports by various paper to arrive the conclusion that the symposium received extensive coverage is synthesis. Per No original research policy, such analysis must be avoided.
4. Remember to sign your comment in any discussion pages.

1. The way I have worded my text now is appropriate, with two citations listed attesting to the importance of the symposium. I realize you dislike the term "ground-breaking," but the references cited here, and throughout the article, should be sufficient to indicate that it was just that. I am not sure why this seems offensive to you, so I hope you can let it go.
2. I am not "appealing to emotion" in order to argue a point; I am merely stating a fact. Anyone would agree that "[t]he combined testimony laid bare another horrifying dimension to the anguish of human suffering wrought by the Second World War." The looting of art and cultural property during and after the war was indeed horrendous. The article and all the references cited makes this clear.
3. Your contention that "using the news reports by various paper[s] to arrive [at] the conclusion that the symposium received extensive coverage is synthesis. Per No original research policy, such analysis must be avoided" - this is not the way endnotes/citations work in scholarly articles. Being Chinese, perhaps you do not understand the conventions of western citations. All the articles I cited are about the symposium or refer to it; thus these are de facto evidence that the symposium received extensive coverage.
4. Yes, I will remember to sign.

I was happy to add the extra citations, which I think are useful although not entirely necessary in this short article. Beyond this, however, you seem intent on diminishing this symposium and damaging the article. Your latest comment smacks of bullying/harassment, which was possibly not your intent. 1. Synthesis of original materials is accepted and even encouraged in scholarly work. However, Wikipedia is not a place for such analysis and every fact and opinion should be directly supported by reliable, published sources. Per the Wikipedia:No original research policy, editors may not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources. In the case of the media coverage, unless the sources cited themselves explicitly state that the symposium had received extensive international coverage, they cannot be used prove the coverage.
2. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia:neutral point of view is a core content policy and is "non-negotiable". "Ground-breaking" and similar remarks are opinions and should be attributed in the text to the person or group who holds the opinion. Without in-text attribution, those remarks are being presented as facts.
3. Wikipedia:Verifiability policy requires all content to be verifiable to published sources. "The burden to demonstrate verifiability ... is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution." In the case of the damage in World War II, these statements must be individually cited. The Wikipedia:Neutral point of view policy further requires that "[a] neutral point of view neither sympathizes with nor disparages its subject". The statement does not represent a neutral point of view and also lacks direct support from source.
4. The problems I raised are not because they are offensive to me but because the article as it stands does not satisfy serval Wikipedia policies. I, too, wish to improve this article. It is regrettable that my previous comment has come across as damaging the article.
