"See also" sections

edit

Hi; any article listed on the {{Proto-Indo-European language}} navbox does not also need to be included in the "See also" section of an article bearing the navbox. +Angr 06:40, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

You're adding a bunch of irrelevant see alsos. What do Kurgan theory, language revival or this fabricated "Modern Indo-European" have anything to do with the articles on PIE PoS? --ⰉⰂⰀⰐ ⰞⰕⰀⰏⰁⰖⰍ 09:06, 7 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

PS, I'm very sorry if the above sounded a bit harsh. You just do what you think is best, in good intentions, and we can always fix it if there is something wrong.. ^_^ --Ivan Štambuk (talk) 16:55, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome!

Hello, EDG161, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome! --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 16:40, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

This welcome is admittedly a bit late, seeing that you have already got a few messages, and not all of them as respectful as newcomers (and all others) should be treated here. I hope you are not discouraged and consider staying here. Please distinguish the tone of the messages you received (especially the second) from their content: It is true that navigational boxes (like {{Proto-Indo-European language}} and {{Indo-European topics}}) are worth having a look at before you add links to "See also" sections. If they lack a link you want to add, especially to multiple related articles, consider adding it to the navbox, as this is less work for you and easier to maintain in the future.

Also, linking is good, but too many links can make a page confusing and bloated. For example, Kurgan hypothesis is included in {{Indo-European topics}} and consequently accessible even from the more obscure PIE related pages (like Proto-Indo-European root) with no more than two clicks. It is not necessary to put it into each and every PIE article.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. --ἀνυπόδητος (talk) 16:40, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Macedonia airport listed at Redirects for discussion

edit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Macedonia airport. Since you had some involvement with the Macedonia airport redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. feminist 13:44, 15 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
