Thank you for the notice. I've read WP:UPYES and WP:COI -- you're right that my user page was too promotional. I'd like to rewrite it to simply state my editing interests and a brief COI disclosure, which is what WP:UPYES#What_is_appropriate recommends for editors with a conflict of interest. Could you remove the CSD tag so I can fix it, or would you prefer I use {{subst:contest this speedy deletion}}? EKeller-OSINT (talk) 18:22, 26 March 2026 (UTC)

User page guidelines

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I wanted to let you know that your user page may not meet Wikipedia's user page guidelines. It is intended for basic information about yourself and your interests, your goals related to editing Wikipedia, and disclosures of conflicts of interest and paid editing. Although a lot of freedom is allowed in personalizing your user page, it is not:

Contested deletion

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because it is a conflict of interest disclosure required by WP:COI. I acknowledge the original version was too detailed and I would like to rewrite it to a brief statement: "Software engineer interested in public records. COI with EpsteinExposed.com per WP:COI." The COI disclosure is what Wikipedia policy actually asks editors to place on their user page. --EKeller-OSINT (talk) 18:24, 26 March 2026 (UTC)

"External links"

Hi,

First, thank you for creating such a useful website. I've definitely found it helpful.

I see you added a link to your website in the External Links section of Jmail. Two thoughts:

• Your comment next to the link says, 'database that indexes jmail emails'. But is that correct, you are scraping from the Jmail presentation layer? Is it more accurate to say that your site and the Jmail site are both using the same underlying dataset?
• I'm pretty sure adding your link to the Jmail article breaks the rules. For example, the article about McDonald's does not have Burger King's website listed as an external link, because Burger King is not related to McDonald's.

I left the link, but I think it should be removed or perhaps you could reach out for guidance at one of the discussion boards. What you might prefer to do is to work with an editor in creating a new (non-promotional) article just about Epstein Exposed. There's a Wikipedia Conflict of Interest edit requests board that helps with this; more information is here. Also here's about creating new articles.

Please do not directly edit the EpsteinExposed article

As the declared creator of the "EpsteinExposed" site, you have an unambiguous conflct of interest. Please see the section of conflict of interest editing, in particular:

• Editors with a COI should follow Wikipedia policies and best practices scrupulously:
• you should disclose your COI when involved with affected articles;
• you are strongly discouraged from editing affected articles directly;
• you may propose changes on talk pages (by using the {{edit COI}} template), so that they can be peer-reviewed;....
• you should respect other editors by keeping discussions concise.

Your draft followed the "Articles for Creation" process and was peer-reviewed before being accepted. You have subsequently made many edits to the article, AND removed the connected contributor tag on the page (which has since been re-added.) While the article says that you are not "paid", Wikipedia includes "being an owner, employee, contractor, investor or other stakeholder" as "paid editing". As such, you are REQUIRED to fully disclose it. Welcome to wikipedia!

As a new editor, one thing that's important to know is that everything we write must come from reliable sources that we can cite. You can read about that here. Examples of really good sources are mainstream media, scholarly journals, books, and some websites created by experts in relevant fields. Examples of sources we wouldn't want are facebook and reddit posts, and tabloid/gossip media. We should use only very sparingly citations to the EpsteinExposed website itself, because that's "Eric" talking about his own website.

Tools like EpsteinExposed have gotten less media attention lately, as the public's attention has moved to other topics. That makes it difficult to add more to the EpsteinExposed wikipedia article because there aren't more mentions from reliable sources.

If you decide to get a wikipedia login and start updating other articles related to the Epstein files, keep in mind that we also can't cite court testimonies directly (I've made this mistake before) and we can't cite things like the dossiers on the EpsteinExposed website. This is also because of the rules for reliable sources.
