Subpage

I created that subpage you asked for. Heres the link to it. [[1]] -- Skamecrazy123 (talk) 01:13, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

Good job! If you want to move it to mainspace, it will probably need some work. Look over Wikipedia's notability guidelines to see what you will need to do to get the article to be considered "notable" enough. Editors here are very harsh when it comes to new articles, so be sure to do as much as you can to your article. If you need help with it, just let me know. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:19, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
Ok, well at the moment, the articles on hold (not because I don't know what to do, but because im struggling to find sources). I've asked for some help on the group page, but I may do another article while im waiting, as the group doesnt appear to be that active, although looks may well be decieving. If you wish, I will keep you informed. Oh, and I hope you have had a good christmas :) --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 04:26, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Yea, you can inform me of your progress, that would be fine. I think you will have no problem of getting your article to mainspace without it being deleted, because there are a bunch of articles on Wikipedia that mention Eyetech. Merry Christmas to you too! Eagles 24/7 (C) 04:28, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Just wondering if there is anything you want me to do? Or shall I just get on with editing? -- Skamecrazy123 (talk) 01:18, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Its just finding the sources to back up what ive found so far. I found a small history page for the company, but it throws up more bits and pieces that I need to find, and its a bit vague in places. Still, that may be a place to begin at least. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 04:36, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Yea, and you can search Wikipedia to find additional sources as well. I looked at your page just now and saw that you referenced two places with the exact same source. I made it so that it is one source and links to both paragraphs. (See here if you are confused about what I mean, I just don't know how to word it better). You can name references by adding <ref name="NAME"> in place of the normal <ref> at the front of the citation. Then, when citing the second paragraph, you can just put <ref name="NAME"/> and it will group the two together. Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:20, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Also see what I did here. Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:25, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
heh, I was just changing that, but thankyou for doing it for me. And that is a really helpful little tip there. I never knew you could organise citations that way, and I certianly would not have asked about it. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 05:28, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Yep, no one told me and I did that for a couple months there, so I'm glad I caught you doing it so early in your editing career. :D Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:38, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I can imagine people would have gotten slightly hacked off if they would have had to have read through a long list of the same references xD --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 05:42, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Haha, yep. Eagles 24/7 (C) 05:57, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

See this edit. If the entire paragraph is from the one source, you only need to put one ref tag at the end of the paragraph, not three randomly in the middle of the paragraph. Eagles 24/7 (C) 06:51, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Hey just thought id let you know that I've been looking for research for the article im writing, and it seems that there is nothing else on the subject other than what I have found and put in. As a better editor than I, whats your opinion?--Skamecrazy123 (talk) 04:22, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Well ive had a look through all the sources i can get my hands on, and nothing more could be added, so what next? --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:03, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Well, Ive put some links in, so all i can do now is wait and see what the admins say. --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:42, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Actually, the normal process for a new article goes like this: user creates an article, article ends up in Special:Newpages where it is (usually) patrolled by other users. I checked Newpages, and your article didn't pop up, meaning that articles that have been moved do not count as new pages. And admins do not review every article created on Wikipedia, it would take too long. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:48, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah i guessed xD forgot about the whole small number of adminsm, large number of articles xD. And do i need to copy and paste so that it creates a new page instead of just a move? or do i leave it? --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 02:51, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
No, no, leave it as it is. You could have just copied and pasted it to create a new page, but that would not include the history from your subpage. You can request deletion of your now-useless subpage by removing all the content (should be just a redirect now) and adding "{{userreq}}" to it. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:54, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Sorted :D --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 03:03, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Where exactly do i put the category tag? --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 03:32, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
Ok, Ive popped some categorys in :) --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 04:19, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

DYK for Jon Dorenbos

On January 3, 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Jon Dorenbos, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Eh, whatev. What's PB? Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:46, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, Jackson = Pro Bowl. :) Ositadinma 02:02, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
Oh, gotcha. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:32, 6 January 2010 (UTC)

I feel for ya.

Hey man sorry bout your Eagles. I was pulling for em the whole time but they could never step it up. I actually thought I was watching Miami. I was like "Oh My God!,What are ya doing!" and stuff. 2nd, I really hate Dallas. 1st its the Jets then Dallas on my hate list. Stealthninja545 (talk) 07:24, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, and like I told you, there's always next year. I'm excited for the offseason though. The most optimistic part of every season. Eagles 24/7 (C) 07:29, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
I was looking through the past history of Shayne Graham and oh my god. Theres some funny a** sh** on there. (pardon my french) Its hilarious but I also feel bad for the dude. Check it out. Stealthninja545 (talk) 08:26, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Wow, that's awful. I'm surprised it hasn't been semi-protected yet. Eagles 24/7 (C) 16:19, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
It actually has been protected, see the history.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 16:43, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Oh, haha didn't see that. =P Eagles 24/7 (C) 16:54, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
I guess you can say that Im like the Marines. The Marines go in first and take care of the big stuff and like the next guy who edits after me is like the Army. He cleans up what I left (Giants27) i guess. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stealthninja545 (talkcontribs) 00:44, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Whats the whole point of AfD? I think Khalil Jones shouldnt be deleted. Hes on the team currently and it looks normal now. Another reason it shouldnt be deleted because hes a Hurricane. Yeaaaa, I love my Canes. Stealthninja545 (talk) 01:09, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
If I'm the Army then where's my gun and camoflauge? haha Also, on Jones I don't want to go a link happy on you but there's been quite a few AfDs and PRODs as Eagles'll tell you where players currently on a roster were deleted even if they're from the best school in the south. ;)--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 02:45, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Haha. Eagles 24/7 (C) 02:46, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Gigogag socks

I saw some of your comments on Dock26...'s talk page, check out WP:DENY. Stop replying and and it's no longer funny to him and he'll go troll another site. Cheers,--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 02:59, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

You're a high school student? Hallelujah! There's hope for our future! I swear, the semi-literate rants from the LBHS socks knocked down my IQ by about 50%; I now feel the sudden urge to watch non-stop reruns of Jerry Springer...but seriously, thank you for all your good work here. Really. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 00:12, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Haha, thanks. Could you explain, though, why that cheerleader would be banned as well even though they have not vandalized a page and show remorse for their actions? Could we just let her go for a bit and if she vandalizes a page, block her? Because that could have easily happened to me and I wouldn't be editing here today. Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:17, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Good point. Problem here is that of multiple sockpuppets coupled with a long history of vandalism. If this individual is sincere, there are ways of appealing a block throught the Arbitration Committee. Don't quite remember the procedure, but I'll find out and leave note on the talk page. David Akers

I added a new image. Tell me if its better than the other one. I put the old one on the left. Stealthninja545 (talk) 04:17, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

John David Booty

It never says on any website (including nfl.com) that John David Booty signed with the Houston Texans on January 11, 2010 or whatever it was. On nfl.com, it that he re-signed with the Tennessee Titans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gibberish77 (talkcontribs) 00:59, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

hey

I feel your pain on the homework front mate. Id swap any amount of the stuff to get rid of this systems programming coursework I have... still, its nearly done now (fingers crossed). Hope you're getting through it alright :) --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 03:43, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, tough is a pretty good way to describe it. Gotta create a process scheduler in C from scratch and it is proving to be a b*tch of an assignment... --Skamecrazy123 (talk) 03:52, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Whats Up about the List of Raider Starting quarterbacks?

I spend five hours looking up that infomation Email me back at <blanked> —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oriolephan (talkcontribs) 02:12, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

To be honest, I'm not really sure why it took you 5 hours to make that page. All you had to do was look up JaMarcus Russell's stats on NFL.com, then Charlie Frye, etc. Anyway, that really shouldn't have a page to itself. You should try to add the list to Oakland Raiders under Players of Note. Eagles 24/7 (C) 04:33, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Colts and Comma Use

You are clearly mistaken in your understanding of comma use.

Any time a city and state are mentioned together -- "City, State" -- and the sentence continues, a comma ALWAYS goes after the state.

Ex. "The team relocated from Baltimore, Maryland, to Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1984."

The only exceptions are: -the end of a sentence, when a period is obviously used -when a list of city-state combos occurs; in this case a semicolon is used after the state to help avoid confusion

If you don't believe me or don't understand, check any reputable style guide: MLA, APA, the AP Stylebook. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.89.37.218 (talk) 09:30, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

I still do not think you are correct, but I have started a thread at the talk page of Wikipedia's Manual of Style in order to get more feedback. Thank you for messaging me here. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:39, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
Another user has confirmed that there are no commas after state names. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:41, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
A debate is currently underway at the thread. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:30, 19 January 2010 (UTC)

Haha, Chris. And Tony, I'd love to expand it if I can find enough sources, but I'm a little busy right now. If it does get deleted, I will ask the admin who deleted it to move it to my userspace and I'll try to expand it there. It will be on my To Do List also. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:42, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Sean Taylor

Is there anyway we can get Sean Taylor's page to FA???? Seriously, I loved this kid. When he was with The U & Washington. He deserves it! Stealthninja545 (talk) 06:01, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

I'd be willing to help you out since it looks like a big job and the more editors, the better. Lots of paragraphs are unreferenced and that needs to be fixed first for sure and then of course some copyediting wouldn't kill. But I should warn you, I've tried twice to bring Joey Hamilton to FA and have been dragged over the coals at FAC. So if you want to attempt bring Taylor up to FA be ready for months of work consisting of the references, copyediting, probably WP:PR (I highly recommend it), followed up by an FAC where it's 50/50 that'll pass. Don't let me scare you away since if we have more than 1 person working on it, the job could certainly be lessened.--Giants27(Contribs|WP:CFL) 13:42, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
How about we try to get it to Good Article status first, since it hasn't even accomplished that yet. Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:09, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
