Pause a second?

edit

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia (I'll put a templated welcome message below). Could you pause a second on adding information about fraternity membership to so many articles? My natural inclination is to say that such information really isn't important enough to be included in most people's biography (on Wikipedia, we say that this information is undue). However, I'll have to seek input from other editors, because I may very well be wrong, so it would help if you could pause a minute from the rapid additions while we try to seek some sort of consensus. At this point, it's been about 3 days since I opened the discussion on WP:BLPN. At this point, no one has responded. Absent any objections from there, I have no further objection to your additions. Should another editor raise further concerns, we'll have to find another place to hold the discussion (possibly WP:NPOVN). But feel free to keep adding the info, so long as you always provide the source that the person was in the fraternity/sorority. Qwyrxian (talk) 07:16, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
I had tried to post there the other day and got edit conflicted. See the Delta Tau Delta entry at The Political Graveyard; while admittedly incomplete, it may prompt or backup other sources. Cheers! (belated signing) Dru of Id (talk) 22:07, 24 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User:Easimmons. Please comment on the content and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. Yunshui  11:36, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello Easimmons. I'm sorry, but you can't really use you userpage that way. If you have an issue with someone, please discuss it calmly. You may have a good case here. I'm not judging either way because I don't know any of the facts. But please, seek Q's understanding. It's really the best way. If I can help, please just ask.
