Please stop adding colorized photos on John Wayne. I've reverted all the changes. You need to patiently join the discussion on the talk page, which I started. Via WP:BRD, it would be considered disruptive if you continue to add the colorized photos as they are considered contentious. Dennis Brown - 09:55, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Now that you have added that image colorizer link, I see why the quality of the colorizations is so low. Adding that link isn't appropriate in that article because it has no relevance to John Wayne. Second, an instant web service is not the same as a professional colorization, which should only be used in unusual circumstances, not to wholesale change an article. You continue to add these images after being told about BRD and after it is obvious they are contentious. This is considered disruptive and if you continue, can lead to sanctions. Just so you know. @EatPay3: You must discuss your proposed changes at Talk:John Wayne#Colorized photos. It is very unlikely that a proposal to colorize the images at John Wayne would be successful because such colorization is original research as there is no evidence regarding what colors should be used. Also, it is not needed. At any rate, edit warring is not permitted. Questions can be asked at WP:Teahouse. Johnuniq (talk) 10:29, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at John Wayne, you may be blocked from editing. Do NOT edit war on articles. If you've been reverted, then take it to the talk page. (see: WP:BRD). — Ched (talk) 15:27, 1 May 2021 (UTC) — Ched (talk) 15:27, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

EatPay3, please don't continue this. I don't know if you are new to Wikipedia, but this is a collaborative joint and you've been reverted by two editors now, with another, also an admin, saying it provides "a false picture". You can try to make your case on the talk page, but if you simply ignore all these messages and continue this kind of editing, you will be blocked, I'm afraid. Thank you. Please revert yourself

edit

It is clear that your changes are not wanted by anyone but you. If you don't revert your edits, you force me to request a block for edit warring. Dennis Brown - 21:30, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
You must gain consensus at Talk: John Wayne for the changes you want to make. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 22:15, 1 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
