- he's obviously notable--i=I've put a watch on it to see if anyone lists it for deletion, but as full professor at a research university & chair of department, he'll be found notable if anyone really questions it. However, check that NONE of the material is copied from a university or other website--see WP:Copyright--if so, the article will certainly be deleted. DGG 22:46, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 19:15, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Department of Geology
editAcademic departments are not often notable, Perhaps this article can be defended, but unless you can show it is one of the top 5 or 10 departments world-wide, it may not pass. the best course its to make it sound totally unlike a brochure page for the department and more like a descriptive encyclopedia article. In addition, check that NONE of the material is copied from a university or other website--see WP:Copyright--if so, the article will certainly be deleted--the Museum part certainly is, --be sure to rewrite everything in your own words.
