Barnstar!
editThe Guidance Barnstar | ||
The Guidance Barnstar is awarded to users who help others locate valuable resources, information, or assistance. I was working on the Berkeley Webcast article and glanced at the history to see who created it; I thought I'd ask the creator if they have any comments on its new state. I linked to you, and clicked on recent contributions to see if you were still active and it would be worth messaging you. Looking at your contributions, I noticed you put a fantastic amount of work into providing applicable links to online lectures, from Stanford, Yale, and MIT, among others, in their appropriate articles. The online dissemination of university resources, especially lectures, is one of the most valuable contributions the internet is making to "knowledge." Though their existence is not widely known outside of academic circles, you've done an invaluable service by taking your time to link them on Wikipedia and disseminate the resources! |
OCW/OER
editHi, I am doing research on OCW and OER, and am very interested in thinking about ways in which we can connect that with Wikipedia, both in terms of articles about OCW/OER projects, and integrating Wikipedia articles with OER, or OER with Wikipedia articles. You seem to be interested in the same topic. Houshuang (talk) 17:50, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Academicearth
editPlease consider using the OpenCourseware website if you wish to link to opencourseware materials. I have reverted a significant amount of linking to this "academic earth" website, which is simply an aggregator for other people's content. User A1 (talk) 09:35, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
