Northwest Harwich and West Harwich

You have asserted that there is no CDP named Northwest Harwich. Do you know what a CDP is? Read census designated place. The U.S. Census lists statistical data for the Northwest Harwich CDP on this page. If you enter the name West Harwich in the search box there, you will find that the Census Bureau says it doesn't have data for it.

If you want to document the existence and characteristics of the village of West Harwich, that's fine, but your local knowledge alone is not a sufficient basis for an article (you need to cite published sources) and your local knowledge does not entitle you to change the name of the census designated place that is named "Northwest Harwich." --Orlady (talk) 00:41, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

There not "local knowledge". I dont think you relize that the US Postal Service list West Harwich seprate. And also the town of harwich lists West Harwich as a seprate area of Northwest Harwich. --Editermaster12345 (talk) 22:07, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

A CDP does not necessarily have a one to one correspondence with a village. No one is claiming that Northwest Harwich and West Harwich are the same. Perhaps it would be better for you to create a separate article on West Harwich. --Polaron | Talk 22:02, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

The Northwest Harwich CDP is the unit for which the Census Bureau reports demographic statistics. The Census Bureau does not deliver mail and the postal service does not collect demographic statistics. Both the Census Bureau and the Postal Service sometimes have views of reality that differ from the views of local residents; this appears to be one of the cases where the Census Bureau has its own unique reality.
The Northwest Harwich article is about the demographic statistics for the CDP, so the article name needs to be the same name that the Census Bureau uses. If the village was also named "Northwest Harwich," it would be appropriate for the article to tell about both the CDP and the village. Since the village and the CDP have different names, however, it would be better to have separate articles for the village of West Harwich and the other villages included in the "Northwest Harwich" CDP. --Orlady (talk) 02:48, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Yes i know where your getting from but what i was trying to say is that the Town of Harwich and the US postal service list West Harwich as seprate, while the CDP list's it as Northwest Harwich,i just belived that it would make more sense changing the name. Also West Harwich is redirected to Northwest Harwich so i belive it may not be possible to create a article called West Harwich. I am completely done with you. I have put up with your crap long enough. First off how would you like it , if someone came to your town and started putting false information on it? You would want to change it, right? Secondly if you do not leave me alone you are just proving me how much of a stalker admins are and how much wikipedia needs to improve on. Third i have no idea about this stupid sock puupet thing and i honestly feel very offended by that.
