Welcome!

Hello, Ef2467, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hello, Ef2467. Welcome to Wikipedia!

I'm FULBERT, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.

Ask a Question about How to Use Wikipedia
When editing, follow the 3 Core Content Policies:
  1. Neutral point of view: represent significant views fairly
  2. Verifiability: claims should cite reliable, published sources
  3. No original research: no originality; reference published sources

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the   button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

Jontay Porter article

edit

Hi. I noticed that you assigned yourself the Jontay Porter article to work on. For some reason (probably intractable conflict between some editors in the past) the article is subject to "extended confirmed" protection, which means that you won't be able to make edits to it. You'll need to pick another article to work on.

Also pinging FULBERT. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:59, 17 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

It looks like the Zach Wilson article has also been put under "extended confirmed" protection. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 02:17, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Unconfirmed sports transactions

edit

Hello, I'm Daniel Quinlan. Your recent edit to the page Zach Wilson appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 23:05, 22 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Antman.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Antman.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:30, 28 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

You really need to make sure you don't upload copyright images to Wikipedia. Anything you add to Wikipedia needs to be explicitly released under a license that is compatible with Wikipedia. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:31, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Zach wilson.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Zach wilson.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:59, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
