File copyright problem with some of your Amy Lowell image uploads

It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. My gut tells me that, looking at the age of the photograph, copyright may have lapsed. The problem is that the photo is undated, so it's not as simple as doing the math. Does the Houghton Library have any further information about the photo, particularly its copyright status? —C.Fred (talk) 14:51, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

…And it looks like it would be first published in Lowell's childhood; I'm tagging the image {{PD-art-US}}, but if you can find out whether the photographer died over 70 years ago, that would help put a better license tag on the image. —C.Fred (talk) 15:00, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

• Bigger problem with File:Amy lowell in garden.jpeg. That photograph is dated 1924, so image does not fall under the public domain license that the childhood photograph does. Please verify the copyright status of this one and, if it is not (yet) free, a rationale for using the image under the non-free content criteria must be listed on the image's description page. —C.Fred (talk) 15:11, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
