Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. No, merely being short is not in itself a reason for speedy deletion. But an article that does not explain why the subject is notable will usually be deleted very quickly. See in particular WP:BAND. Hqb (talk) 20:13, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
