Managing a conflict of interest

Hello, EkrahnPTH. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Protect the Harvest, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

• do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Hi EkrahnPTH, thank you for your email! We appreciate your desire to contribute, and some of your edits show how closely-connected contributors can improve an article, for example by pointing out that some of the organization's leadership had changed since the article was first written. However, other edits, such as adding long quotes from the organization's website and removing well-sourced but unflattering information using a misleading edit summary, illustrate common problems with such contributors.

I encourage you to read the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide for an explanation of our policies on how you can edit constructively. In brief, you should disclose your relationship with Protect the Harvest here, and submit potentially controversial edits for discussion on the article's talk page (look for the little blue "Talk" tab just above the page title).
