Greed

edit

Hi. I'm trying to get Greed (film) promoted to FA again if you are interested in taking another look at it.--Deoliveirafan (talk) 01:56, 16 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. I think that the FA review is winding down so I was just making one last attempt to see if you would renew your support of the articles promotion. Thank you for your previous support either way.--Deoliveirafan (talk) 20:37, 5 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Metro Goldwyn Mayer / Columbia Pictures

edit

Lord of the Flies is distributed by Metro Goldwyn Mayer. [1][2][3][4]

Yes, @24.67.32.131: Lord of the Flies is currently distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. In the late 90's, through acquisition, the film became part of extensive MGM home video library. In any list of films by studio (such as MGM) we include only movies produced or theatrically distributed by a particular studio (in this case it's a Columbia release). Hi El Matador, I just tried sending you an email message regarding signup for Newspapers.com. It contains a link to a short form you need to fill out, and a link to register at Newspapers.com. However, I got a "delivery failed" message: " SMTP error from remote mail server ..." Would you mind checking to see that the email address you have specified in your English Wikipedia Preferences is valid? Thanks! HazelAB (talk) 14:53, 8 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hello, @HazelAB:, I've sent you an email. El Matador (talk) 13:18, 9 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
I tried again. Please let me know if you didn't receive it. Thanks. HazelAB (talk) 13:42, 9 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi again, @HazelAB: fortunately, I've received the message sent from your email address. I've successfully completed the registration and filled out the Google form. The failure arises apparenty from my email account setup. I will try to fix this later. Thank you very much for your patience. All the best, El Matador (talk) 14:18, 9 March 2015 (UTC).Reply
Good, I'm glad you received it! Newspapers.com still has to activate your account before you have full access. That should be done later this week. Cheers, HazelAB (talk) 14:32, 9 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

TWL Questia check-in

edit

Hello!

You are receiving this message because The Wikipedia Library has record of you receiving a one-year subscription to Questia. This is a brief update to remind you about that access:

  • Make sure that you can still log in to your Questia account; if you are having trouble feel free to get in touch.
  • When your account expires you can reapply for access at WP:Questia.
  • Remember, if you find this source useful for your Wikipedia work, make sure to include citations with links on Wikipedia: links to partner resources are one of the few ways we can demonstrate usage and demand for accounts to our partners. The greater the linkage, the greater the likelihood a useful partnership will be renewed.
  • Write unusual articles using this partner's sources? Did access to this source create new opportunities for you in the Wikipedia community? If you have a unique story to share about your contributions, email us and we can set up an opportunity for you to write a blog post about your work with one of our partner's resources.

Finally, we would greatly appreciate if you filled out this short survey. The survey helps us not only better serve you with facilitating this particular partnership, but also helps us discover what other partnerships and services The Wikipedia Library can offer.

Thanks!

James Stewart (1908–1997) was an American actor and military pilot. Known for his distinctive drawl and everyman screen persona, Stewart's film career spanned eighty films from 1935 to 1991. With the strong morality he portrayed both on and off screen, he epitomized the "American ideal" in the mid–20th century. This publicity photograph of Stewart was taken for the 1948 film Call Northside 777.
