ElectricGirl123
Hi,
editI would like to ask: Is there a place where I can ask questions? ElectricGirl123 (talk) 23:38, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
- You can try asking your questions at the teahouse. Shellwood (talk) 23:46, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
@Shellwood: Thanks, I'll ask my questions there. ElectricGirl123 (talk) 23:49, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
Deleting questions and answers at the Teahouse
editHi there. I'm not sure how (I presume it wasn't deliberate), but you managed to delete lots of comments with this edit at the Teahouse. I think you might have responded to a comment by editing an old version of the page from the page history. Please take care to edit the live page in future. References first
editA good guide is to find references first, and then create those in your Sandbox, before starting your draft of an article. And Be aware that the advice of experienced editors it to develop skills by improving existing articles betore attempting to create one. David notMD (talk) 22:03, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
- If a submitted draft is Declined, that means the reviewer thought there was potential that it could be improved and approved; being Rejected is a more severe negative. David notMD (talk) 01:43, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
@David notMD: Thank you, I will take notice of that. Electric Ask me a question, get answered in a ZAP! 07:24, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
I added an example reference to your sandbox article.... Regards, Ariconte (talk) 08:55, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
@Ariconte: Thanks! I managed to copy from your reference and add my own. I hope I did it right! Electric Ask me a question, get answered in a ZAP! 21:04, 28 September 2021 (UTC)

Using Facebook as a reference / source
editYou will have difficulties using references from Facebook or other user written websites. Please read WP:RS and particularly WP:UGC. Regards, Ariconte (talk) 22:22, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
- @Ariconte: What did I do wrong? What needs to be fixed? Electric Ask me a question, get answered in a ZAP! 08:00, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- You didn't do anything wrong. Wikipedia does not regard Facebook as a good reference.... Do read the page at WP:RS. Regards, Ariconte (talk) 11:50, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
@Ariconte: Thank you. Also what is a "diff"? Electric Ask me a question, get answered in a ZAP! 11:54, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- @ElectricGirl123: A "diff" (short for difference) is a link to the difference between to revisions. You can find it by going to the history of the page you're wanting to see the diff of and selecting 2 different revisions and click the button "Compare Selected Revisions". ― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:15, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- I don't know why I pinged you when you automatically get a notification about stuff on your talk page. Brain fart I guess. ― Blaze The WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 14:16, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

Getting started with tables
editI'm not sure how big a table you'd like to use or what information you want to include in it, but here is a basic starting point that I hope you can learn from. If you want to add more rows, just copy everything that makes one row, paste it again and change the information each cell you want. If you want more columns or less columns, it's a little more tricky, but if you look at the code you should hopefully see what makes them work. There are hidden comments in the table's code to help explain a few things; you can read it when you edit but it won't show in the table when you view the page. If you have any questions, let me know, and if you want some more help getting your table set up just ping me. 𝄠ʀᴀᴘᴘʟᴇ ꭗ 20:28, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
Sample table
editColumn A | Column B | Column C | Column D | Ref(s) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Name of your row | Cell B1 | Cell C1 | [1] | |
Row number two | Cell B2 | Cell C2 | Cell D2 | [2] |
@Grapple X: I meant an infobox table, but this one will help me create my article as well to. Thanks. Electric Ask me a question, get answered in a ZAP! 17:39, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
- Ah, I see now. That should be a little easier to work with. Looking at your sandbox, I think the best bet is {{Infobox software}}. If you copy the code from the "Usage" section on that page, you can fill in every field that you have the information for, and if you leave any field blank it just won't show. Remember that anything you put in an infobox should really be mentioned in the article too, where possible, so if you add anything to the infobox just mention it in the article's text as well. There are also a lot more fields than you really need so don't worry about not filling them all; you can have a look at pages like Instagram or Snapchat to see how they use the infobox and try to follow that. 𝄠ʀᴀᴘᴘʟᴇ ꭗ 20:29, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
