"Is less than" is antisymetric

edit

Re your symmetric relation edit, "is less than" is antisymetric, but only vacuously so, since the conditions a < b and b < a never holds. "is less than or equal to" is probably a better example though. Paul August 02:13, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)

Wikimedia Canada

edit

Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 02:15, 4 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Graphism in maths

edit

There is a proposition that scientificity is correlated with visuality. If that's true then it is easy to see why it is relevant to discuss the use of graphs in maths as related to natural sciences under the section that examines the question of whether maths is a science. NerdyNSK 16:20, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

There are lots of things that could be true and might vaguely be related to Mathematics — they don't belong on the page, or it would be huge. Also, correlation does not imply causation. Neither does this belong on my talk page. ⇌Elektron 18:48, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

ld for binary log?

Was this edit serious? If so, please provide a source. Dicklyon 16:42, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

See binary logarithm. That's source enough for me. ⇌Elektron 17:55, 16 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

MOS Technology

edit

This is the older version of the page which was what he saw when he added it: http://web.archive.org/web/20070203120404/http://www.commodorebook.com/. Is it a violation of WP:SPAM? Alatari 18:45, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

It doesn't matter; the page was added in "References" without actually being referenced or relevant (I don't see how any details of the 6502 would come from that book). My talk page also probably isn't the best page to discuss this. ⇌Elektron 21:41, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Where's the appropriate place to comment that I can be sure you'll see it? The Commodore 64 machine account for the majority of the 6502 total sales. Alatari 20:17, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
If information in the book was not used to improve the article, then the book was not a reference. Period. ⇌Elektron 16:31, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
