Birthday of Sheikh Khalifa
editYou claim that you a photo of the passport of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Is it the current passport? Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 22:15, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Emir of Wikipedia: Yes I do. It is a current copy and expiry date of the passport is 7th December 2016, and from a credible source. I can post the photo but I cannot upload it due to restrictions in the Wikipedia software. I would also appreciate some help in changing the birth date for all the languages. This is the photo uploaded elsewhere: http://imgur.com/a/YOQsV Elemirati (talk) 22:30, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
- I'll edit it on Wikidata, and then that will be the easiest way to change all the languages. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 22:35, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Emir of Wikipedia: Great! Thank you so much for helping out! Much appreciated. Elemirati (talk) 22:37, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Richi. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! ... richi (hello) 10:02, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Thank you. ... richi (hello) 10:17, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Richi: :( When will you accept my changes? I do not know how else I am supposed to prove the date of birth other than to provide a passport photo (which was shared online and not leaked/private information). I did check out the links but could not find anything about altering the date of birth. Where is the proof of the 25 January 1948 date of birth? I provided an ACTUAL photo of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's passport photo, which again was NOT leaked and was shared online by credible sources. Also, one can fake a passport copy like that and have the security reflection and all the details like that. I have a UAE passport and it is exactly as shown in the photo. - Your edits do not conform to WP:BLP, especially the WP:IC and WP:RS parts. Just because you feel an existing entry is wrong, that's insufficient reason to violate established, hard-and-fast rules. In cases like this, it's better to discuss the issue on the article's Talk page. ... richi (hello) 10:28, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Richi: No problem. I will do just that. Thank you for your responses. Elemirati (talk) 10:31, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
