Thanks

edit

Hello! Thanks for your note on my user page telling me to reconsider my vote. I will take another look. As you're new, please be aware that removing Calton's explanation for his opinion from this talk page is not a good habit to have, it's usually considered rude. Take care, Proto||type 05:55, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

OK, but be careful about doing that. And you should sign your comments using 4 tildes (like this - ~~~~). Best, Proto||type 06:14, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yep, that's right. At the end of what you write in the text box, instead of typing your name, just put ~~~~ and your comment will be signed and dated. You should only use this on talk pages, though. Why not check out WP:NEW and WP:WELCOME for help and assistance for new editors such as yourself? And please don't get too down if the plane article is deleted. Whoops! I meant ~~~~. Sorry :) Proto||type 06:51, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Now you understand your own signature, you should be good to go :). If you do find you like Wikipedia, and I know it might be difficult to do so if your first article ends up being deleted, you will find there are lots of people who will be happy to lend you advice. I have a few suggestions for ways you could help, in addition to all the other things people do on Wikipedia, as you have specialist knowledge a lot of us don't. As you're Norwegian, you can contribute in a huge way by lending your knowledge of other languages to translations of articles from Norwegian to English, as your English seems excellent, or starting articles about places or important people (such as writers, actors, politicians, sportsmen, and so on) in Norway, where we don't have everything we could. Of course, this doesn't mean you can't contribute in the same ways as everyone else does, too.
If you put {{Babel-X|if=|no|en-4|}} on your user page, this will tell your fellow Wikipedians that you're a native Norwegian speaker, and fluent in English. See WP:BABEL for more info, as you may speak other languages, too. If you've any questions, please ask me or anyone who looks sensible. The people atWikipedia:Welcoming committee are a great group of people, who welcome and help new editors. Another page you can try for help is Wikipedia:Newcomers help page. All the best, Proto||type 08:47, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
