You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Curse of Vanilla Ice, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. —Bagumba (talk) 04:42, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Free agents
editThe problem with many articles on players from a decade or so ago is that when they retire, it's just a quiet point where they stop playing and that's it. I've found players that stopped playing in 2004 but were never updated. Obviously they're done. The key is to update them. All you're doing is causing disruption that no one should have to be dealing with as they're trying to make articles current. Try actually updating the "free agent" articles rather than disrupting them. Wizardman 11:17, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

editIn regards to your edit to David Carr recently, per Template:Infobox NFL player the only acceptable roster statuses are Active, Practice Squad, or a reserve list (IR, PUP, etc.). If a player is a free agent, just leave it blank.--Rockchalk717 15:36, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

editThey were deleted because you were illegally copypasting content to make articles, a blatant copyright violation. Given that this is not the first time I've had problems with you, if I catch you making disruptive edits one more time you're gone from here. Wizardman 15:30, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

Request reason:
I don't believe that i infringed copyright. How am i supposed to create a page? it seems damned if i do damned if i don't.
Decline reason:
You quite clearly infringed copyright. You create a page by using your own language, not someone else's. Changing one or two words in a sentence does not change it into original work -- for example, changing In the mid-1930s the settlement had a store and a number of houses; local children attended school at nearby Glover or in Weches to In the 1930's, Burrantown had a store, a few houses, and students went to school in Glover or Weches. I know I would have been flunked if I'd been caught trying to write a school paper that way, and Wikipedia is even stricter. --jpgordon::==( o ) 19:45, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

- When you can give credible assurance that you will abide by Wikipedia's copyright policy. It would be more credible if you accept an indefinite (but not infinite) ban from creating articles until such time as you can convince the community that you understand copyright.
