Resolution required

Please could you advise this user [1] as to your sourced reasons for deleting his picture. Thanks. David Lauder 18:43, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes, please inform Mr Lauder that the image was a copyright violation uploaded on an incorrect licence. One Night In Hackney303 19:03, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Given that umpteen photographers et al followed E Powell around taking the same pictures from the same positions it would be interesting to know exactly who took what and how it can be proved otherwise. David Lauder (talk) 13:16, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps because it was the exact same photo? Face facts, your man got caught lying about owning the copyright to a photo - deal with it and move on. One Night In Hackney303 13:19, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Is it the "exact" photo? Can you prove that in the light what I said above? He's not "my man", by the way, just a Wikipedia user with whom I share some things in common. By the way, are you stalking posts? David Lauder (talk) 11:14, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Tell you what. Run along with your complaint to ArbCom, DRV, AN, ANI, or even all of them. I could do with a laugh. One Night In Hackney303 15:16, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello Eliz81,

Blacklist

I see you have added an entry to the blacklist. However can I ask you to please log any entries that you make with a permanent link to wherever the request came from. This may seem a little irritating but in 6 or 12 months time the rationale may be impossible to find and the listing will then be removed by someone. I've just had to do exactly that on a Meta listing than no one logged! Let me know if I can help - cheers --Herby talk thyme 14:05, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

I see you have done it for which thanks. Given that you were involved in removing the link I wonder if another time it would be more appropriate to place a request on the blacklist page rather than doing it all yourself? Merely a thought - cheers --Herby talk thyme 17:31, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

edits

you have claimed that some of my edits to the london met page are vandalism, and as a result you have deleted them. I would like to point out that the following edits are true and can be confirmed by most lecturers at the university; 1. there ARE more admin staff than lecturers, 2. london Guildhall was subject to a HOSTILE TAKEOVER by the uni of north london, and not a merger. If you talk to any of the old guildhall lecturers, they will confirm this, 3. London met does not appear in league tables because it is indeed an inferior uni. Speak to the students, few can string a scentance together. the uni focuses on quantity rather than quality, and so the excuse about not wishing to take part in private league tables is feeble. Few people outside London have heard of the uni, and i seriously doubt that any employer would consider any degree from it to be valuble, especially in comparison to established universities such as oxbridge, imperial, LSE, manchester, birmingham, edinburgh etc.

if you are going to edit entries, please at least try to do so in a fair and impartial way, rather than simply deleting any new entries that you don't agree with before looking into the facts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.129.183.79 (talk) 00:27, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Please consult our policy on maintaining a neutral point of view. This is the collection of your edits I reverted, which includes uncited information and profanity, was an unsuitable addition to the article. ~Eliz81(C) 00:49, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Another Question

Thank for the help. I finished my article:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decline_of_Hohenstaufens

As you can see the picture is large and it kind of ruins the whole article. How do i fix this?

Thanks...once again!!!

Hello,

repeat vandalism on Threes

I noticed that you've had the same problem with the same vandals that I have on the article for "Threes" ... I believe there are 3 IP's (at least these 3) being used by this user, two of which has already been blocked for it - now there is another user (user:76.100.177.119‎) that has taken up the torch and made the same edits that have been reverted many, many times by many editors, including you and I ... the 3 IP's that I believe are involved in this are:

I'm not going to bother doing an admin report about this problem because they will just continue to get new IP's if these are blocked, but I was wondering if you could please monitor the Threes page along with me and the other watchers because I have a feeling that it will be the target of repeat vandalism in the near future - and the more of us that take care of this problem, the better ... thanks in advance -- Ukt-zero (talk) 14:05, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

League of Copyeditors roll call

Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.

Question...

Hello,

Since you are an administrator, thought I should ask you this question:

If you begin an article, and you need/want to stop but you are not completely done with the article yet, can you save it?

Thanks, Ohmpandya —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ohmpandya (talkcontribs)
