I can see your point about links which is not a problem, the other links are all fansites also,so under the terms all links should be deleted, unless official like FTM/SHOWDOWN.
I started to edit because we need more clarity and less writing which misleads people into thinking it is fact,it is assumed until, proven, it, is, fact.
You can see that where I could have deleted,I have simply made the writing sharper.People who come into the ELO universe may visit here and be mislead with spurious information, which in a proper context away from ELO but linked to it would be perhaps a much more clearer and informative way of writing about ELO.
I am a fan of the music and I am a sensible fan,for thirty years since I was 11.I do not follow the usual fan concept of rumour and obsessed worship.A lot of the ELO writing is written in the style of an obsessed fan who heard a rumour.Using a firm basis of the facts from remasters and current interviews from the artist involved provides a firm foundation of honest and good faith information which can be pointed at.Facts have changed as remasters have appeared and articles and new interviews have appeared, this may change some older views thought of as facts. While at the same time chart positions in the UK OFFICIAL CHART,remain the same as fact.
My problem with 'Do Ya,was it is poorly written, that is why I changed it until you changed it back, show a more true description of the birth of the song and it's journey to ELO from the Move. Eloidle
- I have no problem with you cleaning up the article, in fact, I never removed any of the information you edited except for the website you added. If you feel other websites in that section are against policy, feel free to remove them. I was simply reverting an addition I saw was unneeded. --WillMak050389 17:50, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
I see I think maybe it all gets changed when you revert back?I think the links are supposed to be used as a source for writings rather than adding fansites official or otherwise. So should all the links to sites be deleted?Considering that all the other sites possibly use FTM as a source anyway, maybe all the non-official sites are just self promotion?I have no problem either way, maybe further discussion is needed.
