Make sure you keep a running log of what you're working on. And what do you envision changing about the Identity management theory? Ajungle (talk) 07:53, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Right now, our group is trying to supplement the current Wiki page with more sources and better research. Ultimately we would like to explain the theory and its components in a more in-depth fashion than what is currently shown on Wiki. --Elowe08 (talk) 08:23, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Also, the three of us each currently has a copy of the original Wiki article in our individual sandboxes which we are using as a reference point in order to add in what we find. As of right now I am working on developing another section to add to the original article in my sandbox.--Elowe08 (talk) 08:26, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Elowe08! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Summary posted in sandbox and comments left on the article talk page:

It looks as if there has been substantial progress made in expanding the article already with relevant information. What I am noticing though is that a lot of the information is repetitive and could be better formatted in a way that explains more clearly to the reader what Identity Management Theory is as well as what it entails. I would also agree that better organization could be beneficial in separating ideas and strategies from one another perhaps through the use of headings and subheadings. --Elowe08 (talk) 20:25, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

Contribution Added:

The five strategies previously listed can further be separated into two sub-groups depending on the style of how they are manifested.[1] These two sub groups are:

Individual Strategies

  • Individualization
  • Subordinate Re-categorization

Collective Strategies

  • Social Competition
  • Change of Comparison Dimensions
  • Temporal Comparisons

I posted comments on the Identity Management Theory talk page with suggestions about how to improve the page. I have also edited the actual Identity Management Theory page and made some grammatical and capitalization edits.

I have yet to receive any feedback on my contribution.

I'll offer some feedback now. It looks like you've done some careful and complete work on this page. You do need to add in your references in-line within the text so it is clear what information is from what sources. Other than that you've done a well. Ajungle (talk) 07:00, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
