A userbox

edit

User:Koavf/Userboxes/Litbox You may have noticed this rectangle has been placed on your userpage:

 IUPUI coursepage for Adolescent Lit

This is called a userbox and there are a variety of them that you can add to your userpage to express your interests, political values, dietary preferences, etc. You are not required to have one and there is virtually no limit to how many you can have.

I have placed this on your userpage because your instructor has informed me that some of you have had difficulty remembering or finding your coursepage. This link will be right here on your userpage unless you decide to remove it (which you can do at any time.) If you ever forget how to get to your class resources, just click on your username up in the top-right of the screen and you'll be just one more click away.

If you need to reach me (one of your two Campus Ambassadors), my contact information is here: User:Koavf/CA.

Please remember to pace yourself and be aware that 90% of writing a good article is well-formed prose and citing your sources. Anything extraneous or technical is where I can be of assistance. (And if you need help editing your prose or finding sources, I can try to give a hand there as well.)

I hope you all have a good day and a productive semester. I'll see some of you this coming Wednesday and any of you if you wish to schedule a time to meet. —Justin (koavf)TCM16:55, 8 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

The Speak Wikipedia Page

edit

Hello! I decided to look at your wikipedia assignment because I am working on the Laurie Anderson's page. Instantly when glancing over the article, I saw that the introduction is really lacking in direction, inspiration, and well the character of introducing! I think that would be an awesome place to start. I also really think that you could work on the censorship section. I know that are not supposed to put up opinion, but I think that showing both sides of the argument on censorship would be helpful. I'm also not sure if this is technically appropriate. But I think discussing all the metaphorical aspects would be interesting: mirror, tree, ect.

Hopefully we can work and discuss this more as a co-team!

I just wanted to say that I think you have done an excellent job with your article on Speak! I looked over it to copy edit it and, well, there wasn't much to copy edit! Good job! Veganchic (talk) 03:46, 17 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

A barnstar for you

  The Writer's Barnstar
Your exceptional work on Speak (novel) is worthy of recognition. Once a haunt for vandals and POV-pushing high school students has become a real article. I trust you with it so much, I'm even going to de-Watchlist it. I feel comfortable leaving it in your capable hands. Cheers! Achowat (talk) 18:35, 2 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
