Warning

edit

You have been warned explicitly by number of editors to refrain from making tendentious edits related to images without discussion, yet you still persist to ignore both the rules and the consensus, particularly when there is an ongoing discussion about your behaviour. Please also read Wikipedia:Redirect#Do not "fix" links to redirects that are not broken in addition to any other reading that was provided for you previously. Any further edits related to images would result in immediate temporary sanction, pending further discussion on how this situation should be resolved. Alex ShihTalk 02:26, 11 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked for 48 hours for disruptive editing. Do not blank this warning/block notice again, or your talk page access may be revoked. This is a collaborative project, and if you are unwilling to discuss with other editors when making controversial changes, you may not be here to build an encyclopedia. When the current block expires, please refrain (as mentioned to you repeatedly, in which you have blatantly ignored) from making image-related edits until you have addressed the current discussion about your behavior as an editor at Wikipedia:Administrators noticeboard/Incidents#User:Emmy Expert, CIR topic ban for image-related edits?. Thank you. Alex ShihTalk 15:23, 11 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 07:53, 18 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hello. My name is Jonathan Leonard Sydel (born José Luis Rotela; August 26, 1993). I am an awards expert/film buff and, as shown on my contributions page, I edit a gargantuan amount of film, TV, and award category/ceremony pages. Along the way, I change the image(s) of a specific winner(s) when a new image of that person appears taking place in recent times (e.g. 2017), so that is why I replaced all of those images of Alexander Payne with a new one of him; the new image is from 2015 and the former image is from 2005 (uploaded on 01:24, 2 July 2006), which is an old image of him, and updating his appearance makes sense so that when people visit pages that consist of the image they will see what he looks like today instead of how he looked 12 years ago. Please take my "unblock" request into consideration and I'll continue, as I have been, to make useful contributions. Thank you.

Decline reason:

Your contributions has been more tendentiously disruptive than "useful". You need to start communicating with other editors and discuss the editing behaviour that led to your second block, or else the next block will certainly be longer. Alex ShihTalk 14:37, 18 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at User talk:Emmy Expert, you may be blocked from editing. John from Idegon (talk) 14:53, 19 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Heartfelt plea

edit

José, this is a heartfelt plea. I believe you want to help Wikipedia and mean well. But please, please leave images alone. I was hoping by now you'd clue in this was serious, particularly after the 48 hour block. Do not attempt to "get around" this by changing images while making other edits. Do not attempt to "get around" this by editing while logged out. It's not going to work. Just please, stop this. Ribbet32 (talk) 18:34, 26 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Um, this appears to be you [1] going back to the exact same editing pattern from a Florida IP, indicating you simply ignored my message and forgot the message given in @Alex Shih: and @NinjaRobotPirate:'s blocks. This is very disappointing. Ribbet32 (talk) 13:55, 9 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Emmy, sorry to say you've burned up all my last assumptions of good faith and optimism for your competence with continued socking. [2] What do you think, @NinjaRobotPirate: and @Alex Shih:? IP rings to the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area as @Emmy Expert:'s other IP did [3] and shows interest in changing many of the the photos. I'd say Emmy is socking again.
