Lets see: I would like you to read this: User talk:Deepak D'Souza#Situationwhere a helpful Wikipedian has made a suggestion about what to do in your case.

I suggest that you type out a small apology: tht you did it without understanding Wikipedia rules and now that you do ; you will not repat your acts. Also mention that you would like to create a new ID( do not mention the name of the new ID) so that you can start afresh.

The , after some time gap, create a new ID , but dont give out any of your details . And work on any other the articles, except the ones you have worked on with this ID. Hope you get my message. In the meantime Ill talk to some admin and see if it is possible to delte this ID so that your talk history does not remain. This can only be done if you really prmise not to repeat your past behaviour. --Deepak D'Souza (talkcontribs) 16:46, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Like I said, if you wish to continue on WIkipedia with a new user name, first type out a small notice cum apology on this talk page(Dont forget to sign by typing~~~~ at the end of your message. You always forget to put your signature. ) Say that you were unaware of Wikipedia rules and that you are sorry for contravening them. Then state that you would like to start afresh with a new User ID. Say that you have read the rules aboutSockpuppetry(after reading the rule that is) and that you understand them clearly, and that you will not uses your new ID for any editing the same articles that you have done on thsi one. Request that this ID be deleted so that your talk history does not remain.
I wil then bring it to the notice of admins and ask them if they can delete your ID. I can't promise that they will agree, but if you promise to behave properly Im sure they will consider your case. All the best--Deepak D'Souza (talkcontribs) 05:01, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please be advised

edit

Enigmatic1986, please be advised that Deepak D'Souza has also accused me of sockpuppetry [[1]]. I would suggest to let proper arbitration in your case occur as well before any apology is given. I am suggesting this because I believe it is the right of every user to make constructive and well sourced edits without being bullied into going to the trouble of creating new user names. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eios1234 (talkcontribs) 17:25, 25 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Creating a new user account

edit

Hi Enigmatic1986. I asked an administrator, GlassCobra, about this. He said that there's nothing really innately wrong with wanting to "start from a clean slate" and create a new account; "though, as I'm sure he's aware, he will lose credit for his positive contributions as well." See here for his full response. I would suggest that you go ahead and create the new account, or contact the administrator first if you want. Be sure to first read his message, and remember that if you ever place a request for adminship under a new username, it would be best to mention your previous account. I hope that helps. :) --JamieS93 13:34, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Enigmatic1986. :) Well, it's not possible to actually get your account deleted, but you can request an admin to delete this user talk page if you want, before you create a new account. See this for more details. Feel free to create the new account afterwards, and don't forget that it would be best to mention your old account if you ever have a request for adminship in the future. Good luck! Take care, JamieS93 20:29, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
