Danger?

Please don't revert things - it's not polite or helpful - do you have any evidence for how dangerous test piloting is? I think we should source these things. Gravitor 19:44, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Holocaust Denial

Are you contending on the Holocaust denial page that only Holocaust deniers agree to the claims listed? Some are exclusive claims of Holocaust deniers, while others they borrow from other realms of history and claim as their own. There is nothing "weaselly" about stating that some of the claims listed are shared by Holocaust deniers and other patrons. What certainly is suspicious is including certain claims in Holocaust denial territory and stripping away their credibility when paired with some of the beliefs of Holocaust deniers that are completely absurd.--72.92.0.83 02:23, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Ergative rlt is an extremely skilled cherry picker. He relies mainly on attacking the credibility of those who disagree with him, and selectively picking and choosing only information that confirms his POV. When confronted, he accuses others of being off-topic, committing a logical fallacy, or attacks the credibility of the other person. If that doesn't work he resorts to pointing out spelling and grammar errors. --Nazrac 05:19, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Ah yes, the Holocaust denier himself shows up on my Talk page. Of course, I wasn't pointing out a spelling error when I noted that he always spelled Jew as "jew"... Ergative rlt 07:08, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

I was wondering how many posts it would take you to start name calling. Where did I ever state "the holocaust did not happen"? I dont recall saying or writing that. That is the tactic of the desperate, when all else fails, resort to petty name calling and accusations. I suppose your next comment will be to call me an anti-semite for not capitalizing the J in "Jew" --Nazrac 08:14, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Then take me to mediation or ArbCom. I'm willing to defend my statements before them. Ergative rlt 14:56, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know; the problem is obvious. Jayjg (talk) 05:31, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome to call me whatever you like on your talk page. You're also welcome to dispute or disagree with anything I say, provided you give others the same courtesy. I do not however think the calling others a Holocaust denier when they disagree with you over relatively minor details is appropriate, however controversial the subject may be. There is really nothing requiring mediation as I'm sure anyone can recognize childish name calling when they see it. Instead of insinuating I have some kind of anti-semitic motive for disputing a minor detail on the Einsatzgruppen article, and confirming your suspicion, because I apparently failed to capitalize the J in the word Jew and other such absurd nonsense, you might try sticking to the subject. You also haven't actually done anything to disprove my arguments other than point out the de facto invalidity of the visual material I have provided based on the rather ambiguous technicalities of Wikipedia rules. Perhaps you have the notion of some kind of moral duty to defend anything related to the Holocaust, against evil Holocaust denier fascist Wikipedia editors, but that sort of paranoia won't earn you alot of credibility. --Nazrac 07:48, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

It's rather telling that you consistently managed to properly capitalize all sorts of words in your Talk: comments, yet consistently failed to capitalize Jew. That, combined with the content of your comments, paints a rather unmistakable picture. Jayjg (talk) 18:08, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I think you have crossed into the realm of the absurd. I will be sure to capitalize it next time, if for no other reason as to not offend your sensibilities. Are there any other spelling and grammatical errors I should correct? just so I can't be accused of inserting some hidden anti-semitic inuendo into talk pages as you seem to be alleging. --Nazrac 23:20, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Doing something once is an accident or error. Doing the same thing over and over, when you manage to correctly capitalize every other word, is deliberate (e.g. [1] [2] [3] [4]). You do it [5], then manage to correct every other error in your posts [6], without fixing that. On top of your support of Holocaust Denial and Adolf Hitler, it's a bit much. Please stop assuming we are fools, and please stop wasting time with further dissembling. Thanks. Jayjg (talk) 16:27, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I wouldn't say I support Adolf Hitler, and certainly not Holocaust denial. I just find great disgust from those who insert their political POV's into articles. Alot of things I disagree with on Wikipedia are honest oversights by others, and certainly not deliberate acts of malice. If you want to see anti-semitic conspiracies everywhere, go ahead. I can't imagine a German or a Frenchman whining and sniveling because someone didn't capitalize the name of their nationality on an internet forum. --Nazrac 20:50, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

And they say irony is dead!
I can't imagine a German or a Frenchman whining and sniveling because someone didn't capitalize the name of their nationality on an internet forum.
Yeah, those "jews" and their whining and sniveling. It couldn't possibly be that you're being offensive or anything, just like your denial of Einsatzgruppen atrocities and repeated invocation of Holocaust deniers couldn't possibly be Holocaust denial. Ergative rlt 00:04, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

As you have nothing new to say, please do me the courtesy of not wasting space on my Talk page. You have your own page where you can post about how touchy Jews are or why writing about the Holocaust as if it were true is POV. I will consider further comments along the lines of those already made as harassment. Ergative rlt 00:16, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah ok, you claim I'm harassing you, yet you're the one monitoring my contributions page and following me around from article to article posting ill-informed nonsense? You seem to have taken it upon yourself to "refute" everything I post, which so far you have effectively failed to do so each time. That sounds alot more like harassment than me posting on your talk page. --Nazrac 17:51, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

You've apparently never heard of a watchlist. Now go away. Ergative rlt 17:53, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I see it continues. Thanks for letting me know again. Jayjg (talk) 19:22, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

"Suggested" changes to Space Milestones...

(response to my page) Fairly disingenuous edit summary -- I was pointing out multiple problems with his changes on the talk page -- he took some of them, ignored the important ones. -- ArglebargleIV 18:11, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

What crawled up your ass and died Ergative? Did your parents abandon you as a child or something? It's obvious that you're not married and most likely never have been otherwise I would surmise that your "wife" had left you for a man with a spine who isn't obsessed with wikipedia. You sir have some serious issues. Get help soon.

Original research

Thank you for your interest in the article on James Nicoll. However, taking a source that says:

James Nicoll is a blogger, denizen of rec.arts.sf.written, game and book reviewer, cat rescuer, and all-around swell person living in Kitchener Ontario. He is story prone, and has a very nice style of relating those stories (IMHO, naturally). These are some of the stories.

And somehow extracting that it says the author 'has a dry wit' and that 'the events have become a by-word in fandom' IS INDEED Original research. (or else blatant misrepresentation) Please be more careful in the future. 207.69.137.10 16:19, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Titles of books, plays, films, operas

The convention on Wikipedia, if you have not noticed, is that titles of this kind appear in ITALICS.

Therefore, in regard to Stagecoach, your edits have been reverted from "quotes" to italic. Viva-Verdi (talk) 01:41, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
