I have removed all of the external links from Border-to-Border Trail and stored them in the talk page for 48 hrs. This article is in danger of being deleted. It is still not encyclopaedic; still documents a future event; still appears to be using self-published or at the very least, dubiously reliable sources Senra (Talk) 13:53, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm not exactly sure where I am supposed to reply. I posted my response under the request for feedback where I saw more concerns listed. Eric L Boyd (talk) 15:39, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Hello, Eric. I have added some comments of my own to the Feedback section. I'm watching that page (as well as the article Talk page), so I'll see any reply you might post there. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 18:22, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

I assume you are watching the feedback page now (using the "My watchlist" menu; usually top right of page) and after this message, will no longer require this talkback reminder? Senra (Talk) 20:34, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Border-to-Border_Trail
edit- Good work on the Border-to-Border Trail. I am sorry that wikipedia appears to have too many rules for new editors to fully comprehend. You appear to have broken another one; purely accidentally I suspect. If you examine this old version of the article and compare it with this website you will notice the article has been almost entirely copied from the website. Whilst brief quotations are allowed to be copied, they must be shown in quote marks; other than that, copying is not allowed, as it is illegal to violate copyright. See WP:COPYVIO for further information.
- I am assuming that you had not intended to do this, so I have (hopefully) rectified the situation by re-wording that part of the article. My version is here. By the way, it is OK to link external websites in article talk-pages and user-pages :) I hope you do not mind this apparent interference. I assure you my intention here is to be constructive and assist you until you get your feet --Senra (Talk) 21:32, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- Incidentally, is your trail supported or acknowledged by the International Bicycle Fund? if not, why not? Food for thought? --Senra (Talk) 21:38, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- I have taken the liberty of constructing an example route map. It needs further work but I am certain you can manage from here. There is a sandbox (working area) for the route map with more symbols such as rail/road/bridges/rivers etc in your sandbox area - User:Ericlboyd/Sandox/Border-to-Border Trail route --Senra (Talk) 23:27, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
